Why is it called "Woodstock"?

Why, since it didn't take place in Woodstock?

The original Woodstock in 1969 took place in Bethel, NY which is a 60 mile drive from Woodstock, NY.

It was originally planned for Woodstock, but the venue changed a few times for various reasons, permits, size of expected crowd
