Figgs, you really need to read The Wisdom of Mike Mentzer, you will love it.
Good but not great. Very obvious lack of detail in key areas of the upper body.including chest & arms.
Pumpster, this sounds like a carbon copy of what you say about Lee Priest. I just don't see it.
I'm still looking for a reliable source as to what cause two supposedly healthy individuals to suddenly died. I'm gonna give them the benefit of the doubt.
prefer his arms to arnolds
That's Blasphemy
Mentzer never had much detail overall on the front upper body, esp. chest & bis. Maybe the lack of volume and/or the drugs. Even Viator believed in using volume to refine prior to contests.

aaahhhhhh. picture or name would help
that is what I was thinking figgs. arnold's arms win hands down, c'mon.
Why, do you think he would've gotten better? Those of that era were pretty much all at their peaks but if there was room for improvement it would have applied to all of them. I didn't see that much change later amongst that group.
He should have beaten Frank Zane in '79 for the overall but IMO lost in '80. However he deserved better than 5th.
Absolutely Arnold's arms, or Szkalak, who beat Mentzer. Mentzer was good but there wasn't a single area in which he had the best development.
Depends on perference. My arms are structurally similar to Mentzers so I prefer his.

Nope; close only because of the legs; Szkalak blew him out on upper bod, which is my point. If Mentzer had had a great upper bod it wouldn't have been close.
