Title: The Adonis Challenge
Post by: tweeter on September 15, 2006, 06:32:32 PM
I have been following the Adonis Principles for about a week now and have already began to notice some positive changes. Due to the fact that there are so many people on here who doubt that it could work, I am willing to be a guinea pig for it and post before and after pics. I also have been writing down everything I eat, including the total calories and protein, in an excel spreatsheet so I can also post that. I was just wondering if anyone would be interested in me doing this; if not, thats fine. However, if you would like to see how it works out, I will put it under the nutrition section and update it once a week with photos.

I'm not sure if you can attach it, but you might be able to copy and paste the data to your post.  If you have a website, you can upload it to it and give us the url.

no because the whole thing is ridiculous.

what adonis principles?  there is none...to call someting adonis principles it would have to have atleast some merit of truth to it.

the whole thing is pretty comical.

Okay, maybe I've missed some of TrueAdonis's wizardry posts, so please point me in the direction of where in GOD'S NAME you came up with this:

Today's Diet:
Meal 1 - Egg Mcmuffin, two breakfast burritos, and coffee from McDonald's
Meal 2 - Krispy Kreme chocolate glazed and regular glazed donuts and coffee
Meal 3 - same as meal 2
Meal 4 - Ben and Jerry's Cookie Dough Ice Cream and coffee
Meal 5 will probably either be macorini and cheese or pizza

Because if this could actually work, then a lot of the fat slobs in my office, wouldn't be fat slobs!  They'd be "TRUE ADONIS'S!"

because all that matters is that you are in a caloric deficit.

it doesnt matter where the calories come from.

so you choose...do you want baked chicken with veggies or ben n jerrys with krispy kremes?

brilliant...lol

ps...protein is overrated ;D

I don't see why everyone has a problem with the diet.

It's a diet based on calorie deficit.

You could eat smarter: choose foods that rates higher on the satiety index, and have better nutritional value and all that, eat foods that aren't as caloric dense.

But point is, you'll drop weight as long as the calories aren't too low, and drops your metabolism.

I would never use this diet.

I'd rather eat lots of brown rice, lots of vegetables, some tuna, nuts, fruits, oils and different kinds complex carbs.

But that's just me, it works for me. And I don't give a fcuk how anyone else is doing their stuff.

People love easy fixes though. Let them try them. If they work, great.

Foods with higher fat and sugar are more satifying by far.

Eat some pizza and tell me its not more satisfying and lasting than a fooking chicken breast.  OR a Whopper versus some ground turkey burgers.  Its no contest.

If you feel that way, then great.

To get the equal amount of carb/protein/fat ratio as in a pizza, I would need to eat some brown rice and eat some hazel nuts and/or drink some olive oil, in addition to that chicken breast, but I couldn't eat the whole chicken breast either, I would cut down that a bit.

Then add some sugarfree ketchup and seasoning, and lots of steamed spinach and broccoli with that.

With that meal, I would get the same carb/protein/fat ratio, if I wanted, and due to the amount of fiberous content, and lack of fast carbs, I believe I would keep my insulin levels optimal.

And stay full longer.

I respect your take, of course.

Todays Diet:
Meal 1 - Krispy Kreme and Ben & Jerry's
Meal 2 - 6 inch subway cheese steak sub and baked lays
Meal 3 - beer and egg/cheese sandwich
Meal 4 - Mayfield ice cream
Meal 5 - McDonald's quarter pounder w/cheese and 6 piece mcnugget w/ honey mustard
Meal 6 - Cheese grits (Big Ron style)

So you're still trying to keep your calories below maintenance right?  How many calories are you trying to consume each day?  Because you're "Meal 5" alone has 820 calories?  Just curious.

According to McDonalds.com nutrition info, Meal #5 =

QP with Cheese = 510
Nuggs = 250
Sauce = 50

That's 810...  McDonalds adds it up as 820...  So maybe they don't even know!

And yes I try to keep my calories about 1000 below maintenance each day.

Okay, but answer my question: How many calories are you shooting for each day?  I saw that you weight about 200-210lbs?  It looks like your probably getting about 3,000 calories per day with this plan.  Do you really think your "maintenance" is 4,000 calories?
