Baby Humungous arrived!!

On August 14, 2007 (3.5 weeks early) at 7:39 am, Adam Joseph Humungous was born!!  :D 

   5lbs 14oz, healthy and handsome!!!

   Mom and baby (and new Daddy!) are doing great.


   Congratulations Lord Humungous and Mommy Humungous!!

Congrats bro....fatherhood is awesome. Lucky for her he was small...not one of my kids was under 8lbs...lol.

Glad All's well for you all! ;)

Take care. A little hard time now with the newborn (We did with my daughter)  but it gets super easy to take care of them in a couple months. Its a very good time then....
Congrats... lucky kid.

Buy him a motorcycle yet?

HI GANG!!

Thanks for the well wishes, The Humungous never forgets a kind deed ;). Wow what an experience!!! I was about 200 miles away on business when wifey called me at about 1:30 AM. I packed, showered and called my boss and told him to meet me in the lobby of our hotel in 15 minutes  -about 2:30 and off we went. All traffic laws were broken in stunning fashion. We arrived with 45 about an hour or so to spare. about 15 pushes and out popped AJ  ( I even cut the cord!)  :-X. Anyway mom and baby are doing great, we just got to come home yesterday. I'll get in touch again soon!

You my friend just witnessed one of the most awesome events mother nature can toss out (no pun intended)...enjoy the sleepless nights, the "wonder if he stopped breathing" sprint from your room to his everytime he coughs or sneezes...lol ahhhh...the memories.

You now have officially become vulnerable. You will never in this lifetime wear your heart on your sleeve as you do when you have children.

Take care of that woman that gifted you with the future of your family name. Chores, flowers, chocolate, alcohol...you know the drill.

Lord Mungy, since no one won the last wager of birth date/weight, how do you feel about other wagers including regarding your getting peed on (in the face while changing a diaper or giving a bath to be specific)? :)

Dear Stella,

Many people warned me that late at night when it was a bit chilly in the house I may get pee'd on while changing the little dude. I quickly found out that "may" or "might" were just inside jokes that other fathers play with fathers-to-be. The very first time I changed AJ I got blasted, that was the first time but not the last. I have needed to change both him and I several times since hes arrived after a run thru the sprinkler. Maybe we can find something else to poll?

Oscar has been wonderful. I brought a blanket home from the hospital the first night and put it on the dinning room table for him to get a sniff of. I kinda kept him at arms lenght for the first day and kept him out of the babys room. Friday I let him come in for a sniff and he has hardly left his side. Oscar stays just outside the babys room at night and jumps up on the bed when wifey is nursing him and lays at her feet. I think maybe he knows he finally has someone with as much energy as hes got and in a few short years will play ball until he drops  :). I will say this - we had a LONG night last night and the poor guy was so sick of being awaken he ended up sleeping on the couch last night which he almost never does ;D
