T3 abuse problem
« on: December 13, 2016, 03:11:02 AM »
Is some1 here more educated into thyroid hormones? I have some real fucked up problem now, because i was stupid enough to run T3 for very long time (nearly year different dosage) i just cant drop it, even slowly iam on 50mcg daily now, and once i start to drop dosage even slowly after like 6mcg lol i start to have constipation, crazy bloating, sulfur burps and all these nasty stuff. It feels like my body cant digest anything even when i drop most of fat/calc food on diet, small portions, digestive enzymes, probiotics, i cant digest like any protein without getting these sides. My gf dont want to sleep in same room because one fart is like fucking nightmare :-D any help or idea appreciate.

Your natural thyroid function won't come back immediately. The body will be trying to reach homeostasis and it may take time. I've heard of very few, if any problems or permanent thyroid shut down. 3 options:-

1. See an endocrinologist.
2. Come off and grin and bear it for a few weeks in the hope your natural thyroid hormone production starts back up and get some blood work.
3. Stay on 25-50mcg year round and increase that dose when cutting 😀

youll be back to normal within a week. expect 4-5lbs water/fat gain during that time

ive recently came off t3 after being on for 2 years nonstop... youll be back to normal within a short time.
thyroid recovery is ALWAYS 100% and NEVER takes longer than 3-4 weeks tops

oh and dont eat too much protein if youre not on t3. 200g a day is enough.

Stupid to take thyroid hormone of any kind without bloodwork to monitor your dose.

you will rebound... ive abused the hell out of t3... everything was normal last doctor visit... but those sulfer burps suck... try maximum strength pepto bismol... pretty much kills it.

Yeah exactly thats worst part of it lol, i cant even burp in the gym because no one will remain there lol.  But finally ordered some pepto, because its not availiable in our country. Thanks for all advice, so there is no difference if i go slowly down and just drop it instantly? I will be walking dead anyway? :-D

Is this for real?  Digestion troubles, increased gas, bloating, etc.....

I started taking T3 about 6 months ago with my growth (50 mcg daily) and all I remember about coming off the T3 from my past use was a bit of rebound in weight gain.

None of the other sides hit me but this is the longest I've ever been on T3 non-stop.

Its not only T3, i always had some kind of problems with stomach, but it looks like it doesnt help much too :-) iam diagnosed with GERD, like most of our family members lol. 50mcg is very little dosage, i was up to 125mcg at some point. I found some test half year old and i had T4,TSH in normal range, i will drop it tomorrow and see.

if your tsh and t4 are normal when youre on t3 youre dosing or timing it wrong (youre just at physiological levels)

my tsh was 0.0 when i was on 75mcg a day
normal levels when on 40mcg a day (= your body is still producing t3 on its own, which means youre not at supraphysiological levels)
