Trey was smart to bulk up and add much needed size to his frame. The problem is he didn't diet hard enough, or do enough cardio the first 8 weeks of his 16 week diet.So what I think happened was at the 8 week mark of of 3 things happened 1) he started doing a shit load of cardio, because he knew he was behind on his diet 2) He used to much Cytomel and it got his metabolism cranking so fast ,his body burned calories faster then he could take them in( I am only going by what his trainer Daniel Stuckard said when he was interviewed.3)or he dropped his calories to low because he knew he was really behind in his diet.So he burned away alot of muscle.
I saw Trey in his off season, and if he would have pulled it all together, he could have easily stepped on stage at 275lbs.I think his trainer was smart to have him add size in his off season, because even at 260lbs, Trey Brewer doesn't look that big, compared to smaller boned guys.I have talked to Treys trainer, Daniel and the guy has a good amount of knowledge.I just think he made a few mistakes with Treys contest prep this time, but I think the next time Trey steps on stage, he will look 100 times better.
Plus you have to factor in that there was a ton of pressure on him going into this show. The guy is still only 22 years old, which is still very young in life and for a national level bodybuilder.I think we should give Trey another chance,I think with another year under his belt, he will really do some serious damage
