Arnold didnt want to be a nobody all of his life. His interests were into being with maria and her siblings. "love"? please. What is love for these people, they re obsessed with satisfying their own love for themselves. Maria had her muscleman for decades before getting tired of it and nowadays she must be fucking younger and still muscular men with arnold's consent.
These people are so filthy rich they cheat on each others on a weekly basis, both of em.
They can do, buy whatever they want. They re our modern versions of "gods and godesses".
common rules that define the life of average joes dont apply to these people. They re not mere mortals like us. We have to stay commited most of the time cause money is involved at your scale. Cheating on each others is financially , emotionaly risky for us, for these people, it isnt. They can just start everything somewhere else the folowing day thanks to their money. Just because you dont hear about their affaires dont mean they have none it just mean they are ok with em, at the oposite of the tiger woods couple -what a loser and moron this guy is seriously-.

Arnold did what was good for Arnold back then. If it could move him forward towards his goals then he would do it. Maria, was definitely a step forward for him. It got him in front of many very important people exactly like he wanted.

She may have genuinely fallen in love with him, #1Kf.
I could theorize that she went for a conservative immigrant with no pedigree in order to rebel against and embarrass her very, very, very (Did I say very?) liberal family.
However, there is no evidence of that as she has stood by her rather liberal views even after they married.
Also, from everything I heard on the matter, her mother really, really liked Arnold a lot.

Maria has had a shit ton of plastic surgery. She is fairly attractive now compared to when she was younger. When she was younger she looked like an ugly Kennedy. Her nose, her chubby cheeks etc. Sad thing is she's probably got that awful Kennedy lower body.

How does a guy from a small Austrian town with a heavy accent becomes the world's most famous Bber (and not the best BTW) then succeeds in becoming one of the biggest movie stars without even opening his mouth in his first two major roles and from there becomes Governor of California? Of course, he's an opportunist. This guy is driven, ambitious as it gets and does whatever is needed to get there. How he does is not as interesting as why he does it.

Oh please - way too many conspiracy theories and ulterior motivation theories going on here. My parents were very accomplished people and they loved and enjoyed each other immensely. Despite whatever may be in their pasts or whatever may have added to their attraction, I would bet that Arnold and Maria love each other strongly and are extremely attached.
