So...crossfit takes being lame to a whole new level. The guys at my gym are now wearing "gas masks" when they do their crossfit routines.
Even Kai doesnt wear a gas mask for crying out loud.

Yeah fucking people can't just fucking train anymore , some ' marketing genius ' needs to sell the same product again so decides we need to separate our selves from the ' competition '
Anyone who wears a gas mask while training is a fucking idiot who can be convinced to do anything.

Once as youngster tried to make my gf wear one.... said to her if I bring gas mask home for vacation would she wear it. Didn't agree haha :-X

Originally, the whole gas mask, firefighter/swat training gear thing was for legit guys who just wanted to test their fitness while wearing the stuff, which does have merit because you never know how it will change movements, etc..... in real life. Now it's just a bunch of douches screaming about how elite they are because they can handle the little bit of air restriction the mask causes while training.
It does lead to some very funny moments though -

Bottom line is Training Mask increases your lung capacity by making your lungs work 9x as hard to get sufficient oxygen.

I used to train with a gas mask on sometimes when competing in cycling, I'd do about an hour of spinning with it on was very hard work
