Correct, sir.  They all look as though they were dipped in the River Shitz.  Fugly stuff that fake tan but given they got their "builds" primarily from a bottle one supposes that the tan comes from there too.

The 70s guys actually got a real tan and their skin was much healthier for it.  That and they took time away from the drugs and doubtless didn't take as much or as many as the current group (i.e., the last 3 decades at least) do.

I am all for spending time in the sun. It feels good and for good reason since it boosts vitamin D which improves our mood. There is nothing better than the feeling of  laying out on warm sand with the heat of the sun burning a nice glow into your skin and taking a dip every so often into a cool ocean. It is great right up until your skin breaks down from all the exposure and you end up at the dermatologist or worse oncologist and you end up with scars from removed skin cancer or if your lucky just visually damaged skin that's lost it's elasticity and leaves you looking like a dried prune.

I am not sure of all the effects of Protan on skin. I've heard that it bodybuilders wearing it smell really bad. I've seen where it runs down their bodies in brown sweat created rivets as if someone shit diarrhea on them. But at the end of the day, it washes off while a sunburn does not.

One time because it was free upgrade, I got a spray tan at Tan Republic where go for Red Light Therapy. The first day it looked okay, just a little orange like the orange man leader. But it quickly faded out to some really sick looking shades of yellow and orange in splotches. Never again. I'm a whitey and a whitey I'll remain.

Well said, sir.   But moderation in all things is key, even that which is good for us.

The few times I competed as a bodybuilder it took me weeks to get my tan and a lot less time to lose it.  But a tan along with the ocean gives your skin  a healthy glow these drugged up land slugs will never have.  They can't go near salt water and sun.  They'll boil away.

I weep for bodybuilding. It is not just a niche activity but rather it is more and more a fetish for a fetid few.

White bodybuilders are pushing doses too high too young and burn out.

Blacks are growing more steadily and are peaking in their late 30s/40s. If whites try play that game they generally fail because their bodies seem to go down hill by their mid 30s. Arabs can go either way.

I don't know how the judges, who presumably have been doing this for decades and are considered the experts in the field, can possibly had Jay over Victor that year. It must suck royally to have you life's work and ambitions crushed by politics over merit.

But props to Jay for making such a vast improvement over an already highly advance physique that he presented in 2009. It's rare at that level for any pro to make such a dramatic improvement. To make such a comeback and being the only person to lose and then regain the title convincingly.
