Howard, serious question: why do you think or assume that anonymous people on a bbing message board care or are interested in your life and personal history? Or maybe you don't but just like talking about yourself to a captive audience whether they want to hear it or not?

Tell us again about how happy and fulfilling your life has ever been?

Ok, on a serious note, money/cost is far from the main issue with raising kids.
From my wife and I's observations , it's the constant demand of your time from the lil' bastards.

My old HS buddy summed it up best with ; " Kids suck the life out of you."

Plus, for many parents it never seems to end.
Just when your kids grow up, they get married and bring grand kids by.
Then, they expect you to "baby sit" while they go off for a weekend vacation .
When you finally become old, frail and elderly, they stick you in an old folks home.

Your kids come by on holidays , wishing you well, waiting for you to croak.
THEN, they bury you and fight over the inheritance .

When the going gets tough, you get going Howard, a summary of your life. You still talk like a teenager around here, and make excuses about why you never committed yourself to challenging things. You never grew up. If you really were secure about not having kids, not competing at a high level, running once a relationship hit a rough patch, ect., would you be posting thread after thread about it, year after year?

I've seen lots of men cheat on their wives or endure a loveless, sexless marriage.

To me, refusing to leave a dysfunctional marriage is like staying in a burning building.
Sometimes the smart thing to do, is get the fuk out LOL.
For me, it was the RIGHT choice in the long run, but it was very hard in the short run.

By Benny Podda's ignited pubes, this is most unmanly!

"To me," "For me," …. the divorce rate is approximately 50%, so plenty of people escape the "burning building" of matrimony, Choward.
Again, nothing special. You're putting on too much conversational lipstick, you old bat.

It's your fault for inventing parenthood!  While we're on the subject, how are Cain and Abel getting along?  (And give Eve a kiss from me and tell her all is forgiven)....  :-*
