I really did like NPR for 15+ years, coming from the North East, it was actually more fair and balanced than many news stations around here. I'd say it was 60-65% left vs 40-35% right most of the time, which is good for NE/Mid-Atlantic. Then something happened around 2016 when Trump became a serious candidate, it just went "Orange Man Bad!" full steam out of really nowhere. I tried it again around 2020, and it really was a bad parody of itself. It couldn't just be an interview with Black, Gay, White, Woman, or Latin XYZ. Now it had to be "Next up, an interview with a gay, black, amputee sex worker who moonlights as a social justice writer."
Just gross "make sure to check the right boxes" radio.
