I’ve got a trip to the Caribbean planned for Christmas and I’m already thinking of a fallback plan in case the world gets shut down again. I read about this the other day and my stomach sank. You know the shut downs are coming. $:-\$

I always buy travel insurance through the airline. Last year we were supposed to go Fourth of July holiday and when borders shut I just let them hold my money. They honored it at thanksgiving last year. If it gets pushed this time, I’ll just ask for a refund because Christmas is peak time in the Caribbean so it wouldn’t be a “fair” trade to push back to my summer trip. Either way, I was thinking of Florida or somewhere out west if it gets canceled.
