I think this is really big news. Anyone that follows these things knows that the 9th circuit court is the most liberal/leftist of all the courts in the Union. But today they voted in favor of a person's right to carry a gun in public overruling a lower courts decision. George Young, born and raised in Hawaii and a Vietnam vet, stood alone in his lawsuit denying him this right back in 2011. He had to defend himself because he couldn't find a single attorney in Hawaii to take up his case. Attorneys that will take up cases where you sue for spilling hot coffee on yourself or if someone calls you a racist name but not a single attorney will step up to protect a right guaranteed by the 2nd amendment. And I don't think it's because nobody agreed with him. They were just afraid to step up in this leftist/socialist State. But, Mr. Young was able to get an attorney that worked Pro Bono from Cali for his appeal.

The tide is shifting against the radical left. They are ruining this country. But there's still enough solid Americans that believe in the Constitution that will only be pushed so far -- and the powers that be are feeling it. This was the 9th Circuit Court for chrissakes! Backing the 2nd amendment. This is huge.

  • Time you enjoy wasting, was not wasted.
Trump's selection of conservative Supreme Court justices is so important.

I didn't want to bring Trump in on it but his greatness is spreading throughout the country. The libs are in tears over here.

For you GetBiggers who are 'weapons enthusiasts' and carry a weapon openly or as a concealed carry, I recommend that you go to the USCCA
website and download the 2018 Complete Concealed Carry and Family Defense guide.

It is very informative even if you feel that you would never need to read it.

POWERLIFT, Is your state somewhat similar to my state of Nevada? ....

It is legal to openly carry firearms in Nevada unless otherwise prohibited by state or federal law (as discussed in detail in the next question).

Note that people with felony convictions, domestic violence convictions, or certain protection orders against them may not carry guns at all.

Open carry is legal in Nevada irrespective of whether the firearm is loaded. And open carry does not refer to magazines, which do not have to be carried visibly.

Also note that permits are not required for a person to open carry lawfully. But people do need permits to carry concealed in Nevada.

Carrying a concealed gun without a Nevada-recognized CCW permit is a category C felony, carrying:
1 - 5 years in Nevada State Prison, and maybe up to $10,000 in fines.

I love this state!

Anyone who can legally possess a firearm can carry it both openly or concealed, unless in a location where guns are specifically restricted. You do not need a license to purchase a firearm.

Firearms do not need to be registered.
