What happened to this guy? How come he totally disappeared? I don't know the politics behind he and the WWE? Why didn't he ever go to TNA at least? The guy always brought 100% intensity. I'd tune in to watch Randy wrestle. Shame he never had a good fued with The Undertaker. I mean if Ricky Steamboat still wrestles. Why can't Savage?
He's had a stellar career and he retired. He made his coin. No need for him to linger around. He's enjoying life.

^^Agree.
He’s disappeared because he can afford to.

If he “needed” the money he’d be working for the Jarrett’s in some capacity and doing indy appearances and autograph signings.

I have a feeling his Dad Angelo really hammered home the importance of responsibility and professionalism in those kids.

Either that, or auctioning off sweat-stained tights on ebay is more lucrative than I know.

$2500 for a robe!  Fookin' hell!

I need to get my granny on her sewing machine...

Wouldn’t be surprised if Macho paid more than that when he originally bought it.
Bobby Heenan mentioned that Flair paid $8,000 + for some of his incredible robes.

My Grandmother was a seamstress, and I asked her about some of those wrestlers’ outfits.
A robe like Savage’s is made of several expensive and heavy fabrics. And sequins are the biggest pain in the ass because you have to sew each and every one BY HAND. Very tedious and time consuming, and most of Macho's robes were covered in them.
The fabric and labor really rack up the cost.

Flair's robes were 5-7k a pop. I imagine Savage's were about the same or more.

I've read that the Crockett's paid for some of Flair's wardrobe - like when he used to tear apart those extravagant suits.

Its called retiring gracefully and knowing when to draw the line.
