old fuck

When you're getting old you better be careful with your joints. Hence why pumpster works out with a bowflex:
-
very old bro!!!
-
Yeah. I'm 41 and still squat once a week.
Due to many lower back strains, I pre-exhaust my quads with a few sets of leg extensions first.
I still cycle my workouts every few months. A few months of higher rep/lighter sets, then 4-6 weeks of lower rep/heavier sets.
-
I'm 53. have fracture and low grade slippped disk in L5
I squat and deadlift. cycle the movements in and out of my
dc type routine that way no worries about getting up to
any poundages that may injure me worse.
hurt my back during my concrete construction career.
never had another injury in the 20 years ive been training
-
No.
-
39 and still hard squater.
How about The great musclecenter?
-
38 and squatting, but not that heavy and not that deep. I have nothing to prove and the cost of my being injured is far greater than any reward I might gain for moving a lot of weight.
Oh, my physiological age is mid-40s.
-
I am nearly 42 and yes I still squat.

39 and still hard squater.

Hey freespirit, i feel like meeting you in person since before. You look like profund person.
Where do you live?

Most people yahs age aren't lifting anymore because of
1. Injuries
2. Dominating wife
3. Career that's taken away gym time, which is a bunch of bullshit.
4. Spending to much time on GetBig.
5. Getting discouraged because they were not as good as they were, when they were younger.
:)
-
I'm 33 and squat/deadlift once/week....I plan on doing this til the day I die! They're gonna have to prye the BB and my pistol from my cold dead hands 8)

agreed, 3 hours a week isn't too much to ask for to keep your body from falling apart, if you really love something, you make time for it

lol, i'm glad bud :)
it is alot easier to be out of shape that in shape, people sit infront of their TV's hours everyday but don't go to the gym for a fraction
of that time, then there are those who blame being really out of shape on age, which is just another excuse, if you take care of your body it will take care of you, some people don't like to workout i guess, i love it, i don't do it because i have to, i do it because i want to, it's a
great hobby.

If you're serious earlier like i was you don't need any more size there after 40, and going heavy can cause all sorts of problems, so it really doesn't make sense. I'm in my 40s, and since it's one of the best conditioning exercises it's worth doing sometimes while keeping the the reps higher for conditioning and cuts.

If your made to handle the weight, there shouldn't be any problems handling the muscle. Just little frames can't handle that amount of weight/muscle, after a period of time. Don't give me that shit.
-
Yes I do, not as heavy though.

You said you've been training for 40s years and you're in your 40s , care to elaborate on that one sport?
-
i'm pretty sure that if i hit the hole with 1 plate a side i would be gurneyed straight to the operating table.

I still squat but much lighter these days and not at every leg workout.

Learn how to spell you're and you'll have some credibility. Nothing to do with big or little frames lol some people rarely get injured even later in life, most do including Coleman and Yates for example.

Since you live viacriously through others who actually lift, as always), do the math easy reader one number's larger than the other lol
-
Why even bother squat anymore when you can use your bowflex

"Monkey" once again justifying the name lol
Nothing wrong with that equipment, anyone who thinks there is likely has a lifetime aversion to working out.. :D That situp board on the left for example, sells for $1,100 and is used in many gyms. The olympic plates not shown there are the same brand used by Coleman in his home gym. ;D ;D ;D

Nevermind the bowflex, just buy a fuckin gym membership so you don't have to be in that room, looks like a health hazard.

Tiny, start working out for the first time in your miserable life and spend less time obsessing on me, i've had memberships longer than you've been alive lol
FYI i'm sure you can't handle a bowflex on any lift BTW LOL still waiting for your pic kid.

Actually i've been working out lol try it tiny hahaahahha...........
-
I still squat every few workouts....no big deal.
If i did them every leg day and piled on the plates i would have problems, but the most I'll squat is maybe 365 and just go for high reps.

stop trying to use big words unless you spell the correctly Mr Vicariously ;) you spelled it viacuriously must be a Freudian slip about your curiosity of men in drag
and FYI I lift weights not Power-rods ;)

motocross crashes, failing on too-heavy single rep squats and deadlifts in my teens. trying to pick up anything (motorbikes, cars etc.) that wasn't anchored down. and then heavy squatting and back work for 20 years after the damage was already done. 4 bulging discs and arthritis showed up on my last MRI.

Ouch :( Hope it doesn't cause you too much bother man
-
I had to have back surgery a few years back, but I still squat, just not that heavy. Recently I have started squating after doing leg press, it feels weird, but I actually feel completely worked up at that point. I did it because I couldn't get in the squat rack so went to the leg press first. You have to be careful cause you fatigue quickly and I actually got stuck under the bar once.

i had it coming!! haha. nothing a few opiates a day won't make me forget!!
-
I'll be 40 soon, and I see no reason why I wouldn't squat. If you don't have back or knee problems or something like that, age shouldn't really matter.
-
Still squat at 46, but only up to 315. I just do alot more reps and only twice a month. Much more presses and front squats now. I have a herniated L 4-5 that puts me on the floor when it acts up.
