Title: Gym Sneakers
Post by: Big N on January 30, 2012, 11:02:45 AM
Personally, I'm a big sneakers fan. I've even worked in sneakers stores in the past. By far my favorite is the Nike Air Max+ 2011. They're sick! Which color should I get? Which pair do you like.

Besides the loud colors which I could agree with to some extent, these sneakers are very comfortable. Would any of yous compare the "shit" sneakers to an alternative of yours.

Flat shoes for running on the treadmill, or jogging period doesn't show too much of a great ankle support. Also flat shoes aren't as comfortable as sneakers with air maxes or shox. Flat shoes dont support your weight too well when jogging or running because it doesn't suppress your weight as you go up and down. Which in turn puts more pressure on your joints.

All you bottom-boys who want to go to the gym looking fashion and neat are gay.
Use some old shoes, old sport pants and a tee. You go there to work not to show your sub-par looks.

shox suck. i've owned probably 6-7 pairs. every one of them was shit. they are way too heavy and fall apart easily, the sole separating from the shox most of the time..

new balance for guys who are serious.

IMHO Sneakers + weight lifting = stupid individual. I can't train with that kind of shoes, it is ridiculous. I once try to squat with Adidas top of the line sneakers, but when load get over 200lb, those were like standing on the rubber ball under my heels. In 300lb my heels try to slide to side to side, so I have to take shoes off and continue with only my socks. Now I use wrestling shoes because they give good grip and you can feel the floor through  them. When you use heavy weights, you want to know that your shoes are up to it. If shoe doesn't give you good support, they are useless.
