Manslaughter trial of porn actress postponed unil Jan. 6
LOCKPORT – Niagara County Judge Sara Sheldon Farkas on Wednesday postponed the manslaughter trial of Jennifer Marchant until Jan. 6.
The trial was to have begun Nov. 18, but Farkas said she needed to travel to take care of some family health matters and would not be available.
Marchant, 24, of North Tonawanda, is claiming self-defense in the Feb. 6 stabbing death of her live-in boyfriend, Ralph D. Stone Jr., in their Oliver Street apartment. charged with murder after the porn actress allegedly stabbed her boyfriend in the neck with a steak knife.
police responded to the apartment of Marchant and her 24-year-old boyfriend, Ralph Stone. According to police, Marchant had outfitted Stone with a hole to the neck that wasn’t quite working out.
Paramedics tried saving Stone, but he would die a short while later. Police say the wound was caused by Marchant stabbing the man with a steak knife. Both Marchant and Stone had a history of arrests.
Marchant formerly performed in Internet pornography under the name of “Scarlett Rouge.”
