WTF? It's just working out in the gym and eating a sensible diet.
Maybe you're gonna do a cycle to add some juice to the ol' tank.
Is lifting, eating right and using a basic cycle that difficult to figure out?
Why do so many meatheads and fitness bimbos make working out so complicated?
You're just going to lift and eat to build some muscle or lose some fat.
When did needing to hire a team of "experts" become a requirement ?
WTF?
Good post Howard.
It's quite simple. Most people involved in shows, etc. like to feel as if what they're doing is something greater than what it is.
Taking drugs, eating, and working out. I've seen it first hand. Competing on a bigger scale, pro shows/sponsorships, etc, and even then...did guys back in the day need a nutritionist, massage therapist, etc.
It's also similar to playing the part for most. Flying to a show in Ohio sounds big right? Getting the hotel, trainer, nutritionist. It adds worth to the activity. Others in the industry stroking one another on if they look watery, depleted, etc. It's essentially a large circle jerk.
I remember playing in a band way back in NYC. The singer would always talk about playing some shows in Chicago, etc. I thought...how about building up an audience right here? It's the illusion of being a big touring rock band..."Yeah, we just had a show in Chicago...blah blah." It's fun to watch though.
A few are legitimate in what they're doing, but 90% of competitors are delusional and want to play "Jay Cutler" for the weekend.
It's similar to those who take softball too serious. Look, you had you shot to make the majors...like the rest, you failed. Just accept and move on. Getting the 3rd place ribbon in the local tournament with 3 other teams just doesn't matter much.
