Excellent! I am happy for you.   Historical Iron of a storied past versus Hysterical Iron of the last twenty or so years.

Just picked up this amazing collection of 150 mags from the 40s-70s

I had the original Reeves issue when he won Mr America. Scan the mags and post some of those nice photos and covers here.

Or post them somewhere else at larger sizes. Flickr, etc.

SILK, See if you can find the Weider magazine that was the first of its kind to announce the use of roads for muscle growth.

It was mentioned in big bold lettters on the cover and was actually the start of roid use within the general weight lifting game.

But actually roads were somewhat common among the York group and a very limited number of others  if my information from a very valid source is vaiid.

It would be interesting if you have that issue.

Slik,I believe that Funk has some original barbell plates from Zuvers gym if I`m not mistaken.

Silk, weren't some neighbors complaining about the Zuverman statue being out front of your gym?
Great stuff BTW. (Saw the pics on your site).
I spent some time with Robert Zuver at last years AOBS, I believe he will be there again in OCT...

ive stayed w bob n he's come out here to stay w me. Great guy. Some old lady said her granddaughter was afraid of the big naked man haha. Wrote to the local paper what an eyesore he is. At the toWn meeting half the gym showed up and stood up for me and big Z. It was really cool.

The township loves him. Tourist come takes pix all the time and he is listed on the national registry of roadside attractions.
