I voted for Republican (Chuck Reed) for mayor of San Jose in the last election and will almost certainly vote for him again

Why dont we just tell Straw Man that Meg Whitman is a Dem and Straw will go vote for her.

there are plenty of them (with the most recent being the issue with her maid - which is small potatoes to me).

Here are a few more:

Looks like they are both doing it, so what?

Why is Meg the greater of 2 evils for you?

Chuck Reed was a Democrat.   ;)

my bad but it's been a few years since I voted for him and I thought he was a Repub.

He was getting crap locally even before the election for not being a real Democrat

I know I've voted for a few Green Party candidates in the last election

I just don't like her

I listened to their debate last week and she said nothing that would make me change my mind

No doubt many people will have listened to that debate or some other info and make the opposite decision

I do think Brown will win

What is sad is that you have people like Straw canceling out my vote!  Damn it!

how can I cancel your vote when you don't even live in the state

yep, especially when he walks and talks like a Repub

also proves my point that i don't really notice party affiliation

I look at the person and what they believe and their current/prior actions

Straw - you are into real estate.  check out my thread on the bank foreclosure bill that got passed in the dead of night and set for Obama's signature.

Unbelievable.

Not really.  It reenforces the accusation.

Then if you add to that, that you "just don't like Meg", it reenforces it more.

But it's all good.  Lots of people vote party over canadate.

if I didn't know Reed was a Dem (or had forgotten) then it shows that I don't pay attention to party i.e. I voted for what I thought was a Republican

btw - I also voted for Arnold for Governor and I recall voting for a few Green Party candidates too.

Either way - it makes no difference to  me.   Every race comes down to a choice btw 2 major party candidates and occassionally a few others.

My choice  has nothing to do with party and has to do with what I think is the best choice among the people running

are you calling me or Chuck Reed a radical liberal or are you referring to someone else?
