  The school claims that it was an accident (that the kid just got wrapped up in the mats and died) and the coroner  says that this is a death of natural causes with zero foul play. This kid's face is beaten up like the elephant man. It looks like a brutal death by beating, from one or more people, and then his body was stuffed in the mats after the fact. What do you all say?

Most interesting part is that the coroner wasn't contacted for six hours, when the law says he should have been contacted immediately.

Yes.  Anytime a moron falls into a mess of man-rolled cylinders, it's obviously not the fault of his ignorance, it's the fault of everyone and ANYONE who neglected to erect a sign explaining that "here be rolled mats of airy material.  Heed thy warning, lest be no unicorns find mercy to remove thee."

Anyone who failed to warn the student that crevices and holes can potentially entrap body pats is an accomplice at best, a murderous sociopath at worst.

Authorities say a south Georgia high school student apparently climbed atop an upright roll of wrestling mats, fell into a center opening, and died after he became trapped inside.

Lowndes County sheriff's officials said Monday that 17-year-old Lowndes High School student Kendrick Johnson became lodged inside the roll of mats, upside down. His body was found Friday in the high school's old gym.

Investigators say Johnson, who played football for the school, may have been trying to retrieve a shoe that fell into the mat.

The question of why the coroner wasn't immediately contacted, needs to be resolved right away. I cannot imagine what a good explanation would be. I really can't.

Turns out that's the father.

Funny, because every site has this pic attached to the story, and without any explanation. So this is not only NOT a death pic, but it has absolutely nothing to do with the way this person died.

Strange world, for sure.
