It will definitely be a part time deal for big money. Wonder if he will actually wrestle or be an ambassador like Hogan.

I expect him to wrestle, simply because I also expect him to have a "retirement" match when the time comes.

Sting sucks.

I've always viewed him as very overrated.

I just mean that overall he's no Bret Hart in the ring and he's not Ric Flair on the mic.  A solid performer with a great gimmick though.

I give him credit for his impressive longevity. It's not easy to stick around this long in this business.

He's 55 years old, right? It's a good thing his gimmick allows him to wear face paint because he must look old as fuck these days.

So, he's about a year older than Warrior, who just died less than a week ago.

And in what shape is he?

It seems the buzz about him is simply that he's the last of the proverbial Mohicans (i.e. WCW stars to cross to the dark side).

Hes made his mark in the business and has become very successful earning 1mil per year since 1996 and 500 g's per year prior to that which by pro wrestling standards is very good. Hes always been squeaky clean. Never read or heard anything bad about him and he did it all OUTSIDE WWE. You can bet your bottom dollar that when/if Vince signed him (I'll believe it when I see it) you can bet its for big bucks. Strictly an ego move by Vince to sign the one guy who flat out refused to work for him and turned down may a  offer in the past from WWE.

I recall Borden bluntly claiming in an interview his concerns over how Vince would use him. This was when the old man was systematically burying a lot of the WCW talent after he purchased the company around 2002.

I remember this too. Frankly...I don't blame Sting. I would hold Vince up if I were him.

And it sounds like the guy's got nothing to lose.

I honestly don't see the point. How does he fit in?

Well - and we've touched on this before - it could easily be more about Vince satisfying his own ego more than what's good for the show. The old man has done lots of things out of spite; even to spite his own product/company.
