I just listened to the post Olympia coverage of Performance Nutrition Show and IFBB Head Judge Jim Rockell said that Monica Brant lost because of her "Age".

I'm a fan of both Jenny and Monica, but I think that's BS coz there's only 1 to 2 yrs max age difference between Jenny and Monica (not sure how old Amber is).
-
Did someone really go on the record saying that?
-
"Her conditioning looked older then the other competitors"

Am I the only person who has trouble comprehending this statement ???

I listened to a few minutes of Mr. Rockell's interview (hope to finish later) and would say that it's worth a listen:

What is meant by "Her conditioning looked older" ?
I am confused :-\

My guess is that the person who made the statement didn't want to come right out and say that Monica looked old, but that's what he meant and it just came out in this vague, convoluted manner.

I've been clicking on this post several times now, trying to figure out an answer to his obscure statement. However, I am coming up short. Nothing on her physique was sagging. Her face looked a little tired, but not old. I can only assume that he is trying to tell her to hang it up.
-
That's interesting because although Monica has been competing for quite a while, is she any older than Jenny Lynn or Davana medina or the Latasha girl?
-
I would guess that Latisha and Davana are both younger than Jenny and Monica.

I don't think he gave the best answer.
With all the top women being so well-conditioned, it comes down to shape and structure.
I still think that Monica will win a couple of Masters Figure Olympia titles before all is said and done. ;)

I think this is where she should go then, because it's obvious the judges don't dig her physique. Is she over 35?

Actually, I just found out that Monica and Jenny are not even that far apart in age. Monica is 35 and Jenny is turning 35 in January. I agree with Chamorrita.

I think Davana is a year older than me and I am 32.. so she is 33.. all very close to 35..lol
-
Foolishnesses.
I know that woman as much years as she has when on she looks.
Dina max 28.....
-
Maybe they ment old as in muscle maturity.?.? ???
-
Toss in Mavis, Elaine, and Michelle Troll and that over-35 class will rock ANY house. :) I think Colette Flack is 33 or 34, although she (like all the others) looks nowhere close to that.

She lost b/c she is not in JM's stable!!!! Figure is soooooo predictable. Jenny or Davana, take your pick. They could show up 9 months pregnant and they would still win.

I guess there isnt much you can say b/c the figure ladies sure dont complain. Even odder...DJ Wallis was tighter than the winner and placed near the bottom. I guess she should date the judges too...as Priest would say concerning some of the ladies.

I'm going to go out on a limb and predict the top 3 at the Arnold......
1.) Jenny Lynn
2.) Davana Medina
3.) Monica Brant
::)

As far as I know, Jenny is not competing at the '07 Arnold. She's not doing any shows except for the O to defend her crown. Is Davana competing? Since she didn't compete at the O which was suppose to be her last show, I figure that was it for her.
I think this is definitely Monica's chance to bring it. Only Mary Lado has the potential to beat her, but she just might come up short like she did at the O and if that's the case, the judges are gonna have to dig real dip for an excuse not to give it to Mo.
-
The fact that I'm in love with Mary Lado is not the reason I'm such a huge fan.
She's just that darn good!
