The spectacular ones are always up there, but I also find some of the more "unique" ones kind of stick in the memory as well. Some of mine...
The much older guy who came to pick me up on our first date on a bicycle and wanted me to ride on the handlebars 13 blocks along Columbus Ave., in traffic, which I did. It was frightening, but exhilerating. The next weekend he took me to visit a buddhist architect friend in upstate NY who lived in a home sans doors... not even the littlest room had one. :-X
Then there was Enzo, the Eyetalian from Eye-taly. We met at school and decided to forgo the usual first date going out thing, and piled into his sports car to meet mutual friends in Florida. We got pulled over somewhere in NC by a very large sheriff and because of some residual trouble with outstanding speeding tickets we got hauled in and separated. I spent four hours with 3 deputies who fed me pizza and gave me the lecture about getting into a car with someone you barely know. Enzo and I were not to be.

I sat in the livingroom for what seemed like hours... when he finally resurfaced... I looked up to see him slinking down the hallway in some kind of white silk, baby doll number, and I will never forget, those mule things with boa pompoms on them. He asked if I was interested in exploring a different side of my sexuality. I handled it badly and booked. He then phoned and left messages for weeks to the effect that he was all man, etc...

One of my friends had a set of plasticined (?, i think that's what they call them) limbs, lung, heart and brains in the trunk of his car for months when he was in medical school.
I tend to date fairly 'normal' people . . .

might be different for guys . . . i'm not going to date someone unless they have a certain look, and a certain kind of social manner . . . "interesting" or "persistent" doesn't really do it for most males like it does for females. I've dated a couple of girls who cried at unexpected moments, or wanted to sit in my lap a little more than expected . . . but nothing too unusual.

some women are . . . and some guys do go for the punk chicks or the artists/poets. I avoid them. :) I guess I'd go for an artist if she actually knew how to work . . . that's pretty important to me.

The funniest one I can think of is from my senior year of high school and into that summer.
I had broken up with my girlfriend of 2 years (another funny story for another time) and was your average horny 18 y/o. I had this crush on a girl named Erin in my art class, who was so shy that we basically played games for a whole semester, never really even having a conversation LOL....buuuuut there was her friend who took it upon herself to corner me alone and 'interperet' to me Erin's feelings.
While this kept it going for awhile, I soon grew weary and just decided to date Erin's friend LOL. When I got to her house to pick her up, she was in the living room waiting...with her twin sister! I was confused, couldn't tell them apart and didn't really know what they had in mind.
Apparently, the 'other' twin was quite a bit more juvenile. The first wanted to go make out at the lighthouse (LOLOL) but the second wanted me to take her to McDonalds to the playpen! HOLY HELL what did I get myself into.
I dated the first one for about a month. We had some fun but she was very strange. Worse, was that her twin was very jealous and would get very clingy to me whenever I was around. I often had to take the twin out for a spin and a chat before I could get the first sister out of the house.
Thier mom tried to explain it to me, but I bolted before she latched on, too.

Lol, working artists are probably the most self-absorbed people you'll find, (and I don't say that with a negative tone). I meant it more in the sense that men seem to have stricter preferences in terms of what physical type they like eg. levantine beauty versus blonde cheerleader, amazonian goddess versus cute pixie. It seems women often swayed by personality and other signs of compatability. Could be wrong though...

In college, on the north shore of the Boston area. I was sexually involved with, and living with a girl whom I'd met in town. She and I got along great as friends and fuck buddies, but not so much as a couple. So despite this we still lived together....
....which made dating VERY interesting, to say the least. First I had to convince the new dates that I wasn't romantically interested in my roommate, then I had to manage NOT to slip into bed next to said roommate when feeling lonely, since she never pushed me away.
So anyway, I had this bi-racial bunny in my Art History class. She was 1/4 hispanic (not sure exactly where) 1/4 black and 1/2 hawaiin. Man was she hot! She'd flirt with me, but I noticed that the more interest I openly showed, the more nasty she would get. If I complimented her, she'd call me "white boy" and such. Nevertheless, I eventually got close enough that she invited me over to her apartment a lot, where she would proceed to play Jekyll and Hyde with me.
First she would hug me and kiss me, then she'd insult me and lock herself in the bathroom. I was so damn confused, and slightly turned on, that I'd stay and play Atari until she'd return. This type of thing would continue in cycles until it was late and I'd make mention of going home. At this point, she'd invite me to sleep over, and inevitably I'd cave in.
Once in bed, she would pretend to fall asleep uninterested. I'd lay there horny until I finally fell asleep, at which point she'd rub her bare legs against mine and wake me. She'd whisper stuff in my ear until I was awake, but I guess I was too weirded out to really 'seal the deal'. We sometimes would make out, maybe some foreplay, but we never had sex.
This happened about 5 or 6 times until I met a more sane girl and moved on...but I still remember those buttery legs and soft lips LOL!

Okay, I probably shouldn't relate this one since it happened to the girlfriend of a friend of mine, but it's too funny and they don't live in the country anymore, so....
A friend of mine fell madly in love with this girl... as soon as they met they became another Chang and Eng. They dated for 2 weeks, then my friend invited her home to meet his parents. She was nervous as hell for some unfounded reason, but my friend knew that his down-to-earth parents would alleviate her angst in no time. Apparently dinner went off mostly without a hitch, no awkward silences, inopportune comments, etc... finally my friend's girlfriend asked to excuse herself. She was directed to the powder room which she judged to be too close for comfort to the dining room where the family was gathered. For some reason, instead of curtesy flushing to mask the sound, she decided to hike herself up on the free-standing sink to pee instead. No sooner did she balance her hiney on it, when the thing collapsed, ripping from the wall and sending her pitching forward. She promptly bonked her head on the wall and fell into a heap, dazed and almost unconscious, with her panties around her ankles, and the sink, cracked in half, lying next to her. This was how the family found her when they busted open the door, moments later.
I don't know if I could go on living after something like that. :-\

I wish i could say that i had a super memeorable good experience. My first date ever kinda crappy. It was a group date. We got tickets to Cats, becuae the girls werein drama club and liked shows etc. We planned a nice dinner and the whole thing. we all seemed to have a great time, laughed and joked etc. But when it was over i tried to hold her hand while we walked out of the theater. She wouldn't let it happen. then the girls went to the restroom and she told them that she doesn't like to hold hands. Anyway, they've all been crappy ever since it seems

Every girlfriend has been older than me.
My metalhead mate was friends with this girl for about one year, and she had cancer, her dad beat her, she was raped by 3 guys.. etc.. she had a russian accent.. and every guy wanted her.. One memorable dating experience I had was when I was working in a club and met this girl who I thought was pretty attractive - that is, in the dim lights of the nightclub.
When it came for me to have a date with her in broad daylight the next time I saw her I was sorely disappointed - she certainly wasn't as pretty as she had been in the darkened nightclub and she had really bad teeth - kind of a browny-yellow colour and her breath stank real bad.
We went to a restaurant, had a quick meal together, and then I made my excuses and left. I think she got the point because she didn't contact me again.

Clearly, you don't get it. Familiarity breeds contempt... as in, familiarity in day to day routine things, breeds contempt in the bedroom. In fact, separate bathrooms at different ends of the house is the way to go IMO.

Lol, I was waiting for that comment. Exes are fair game because they're in the past and everyone has one. It was religion that broke us up, not separate bathrooms. He loved his kingdom... mags and towels everywhere, head seat up all the time, shaving stuff and man unguents all over the counter, awful man color preferences... I remember I had a memorable dating experence when I met a friend of mine at the airport passing thru on a business trip. She looked beautiful and after a couple minutes of small talk we found we could no longer just talk and what started with a quick hug went to holding her hand while we had drinks to touching her thigh to her missing her flight and waking up in a hotel the next morning...:)

I just had another one. I was gonna post it on my crimes of passion stupid thread, but it's better here. I just got upset again about a memorable dating experience.

Last night he told me he was working till late.
I goes to the pub (I have another lovely job, it's called pub carer.
