I plan on traveling for 4-6 months next year. My choice is between going to either South America or Southeast Asia. Has anybody here been to either or both destinations? Where would a 29 year old single guy have the best adventure? In addition to general sightseeing and the cultural experience, i'm also interested in the best beaches, the best nightlife, and the sexiest women (but i'm not interested in prostitutes.) Any world travelers out there care to chime in?

Good times in Thailand, both in Bangkok along Kho San Road for westerners, and on the islands like kho sum moi. Many westerners spend lengthy periods of time on the islands during the winter, thanks to extremely cheap but decent huts right on the beach, along with good nightlife nearby including raves along the beaches. You would have the benefit of great drugs as well; and can hire an escort for a week for next to nothing.
The advantage with Asia is that you can travel amongst many cultures and different countries cheaply. Try going to Myanmar, both because it's relatively untouched/unwesternized and also charming. Cambodia and Vietnam would also be interesting; you'd have to read up on them.
Brazil i've never been. To compare you should do some reading at one of the bookstores, and find sites comparable to getbig, for travel.

I think better looking women are in Brazil and if you're looking to score on a non prostitute, you have a better chance going to brazil. Protection protection protection.... Both places will rot your dick off without it. Thailand of course is questionable right now with the WTF is going on with the coup. I don't know about the gym/aas situation in Brazil but I'm taking a guess that Thailand is going to be better in that dept. Maybe someone else can weigh in there.

Brazil has a long tradition of embracing great physiques. So if you go there, you will be appreciated.
And there will be gyms. Brazil has a tradition of physical training and sports. What the standard of the gym will be, that's another question. My guess is you'll find a dungeon.
But if it were my choice, I'd prefer that.
Regarding ass: A friend of mine is actually living half the year in Brazil due to the hot, willing Brazilian ass. I know he scores the whole time.

As far as looks Thai women are some of the best in Asia, along with Phillipinos. Real sleek; Brazilian women in general are actually known to be pear shaped, in reality. Language could be a problem in Thailand though.

I agree but she doesn't even look Thai or like a woman. Never saw a true thai chic with a nose like that in my life. Maybe chinese/filipino or something like that. The best looking Thai chics are the ones that are true half Thai and half German. You get an incredible beauty with that mix. German/Thai = Movie Star/Model in Thailand. But even that is hard to beat the fine looking bitches out of Brazil. Top Notch.

I went to Thailand once. Beautiful country, the ladies can be sexy as hell, but a bit short lengthwise.
Friend of mine went to Brazil last year. Try to do a few lessons on the Portuguese language, because they rarely speak English over there. Spanish ditto. Portuguese is about it. And body language.

I've never been to Thailand. I have been to Rio de Janiero and I had a blast for those few days. I think both places will be an adventure for you. I think it all depends on what cities you visit. Brazil has a rainforest, great beaches, big cities, great food, stay out of the favelas. Thailand has great beaches, big cities, great food. They both have ass. Just be careful because HIV is still a big problem in the world.
My pick would be to go back to Brazil and be a Carioca.

My heart says BRAZIL but the one thing that makes me pause and reconsider is my lack of language skills. I'm (sadly) unilingual. English-speaking only. And I think that to really soak up the Brazilian experience i'd have to know some Brazilian Portuguese (or at least some Spanish.) But i'm not a language guy. (My ears are shot.) So I see Thailand as a "safer" choice just because it's such a popular backpacker's destination for Americans, Canadians, Aussies and Brits that communication will not be as much of an issue. I guess if i'm traveling with a "wingman" (haha) then it'll be Brazil, but if i'm goin' solo then I might chicken out and choose Thailand.

You're not going to have a problem using English in Brazil. They learn it in school. They also learn it in Thailand but it's not uncommon to run into somone who does not speak English in Thailand. But as far as all the major city, living, shopping all that, no problems.
