I partied it up all summer and the trend continued into the fall. I recently started a cycle but have had trouble getting the party lifestyle and the drinking under control.
Do you guys drink when you are taking AAS?
How much?
How bad really is it for you ?

Bodybuilder #1 vs. Bodybuilder #2
Him: Wakes up fresh and does Cardio, eats 12 egg whites and oatmeal, has energy to get a piece before heading to the gym.
You: Wakes up hungover, eyes and mouth dry, struggle to get out of bed to get water and take a piss. Not hungry from hangover, grab a peanut butter and jelly sandwich and force a protein shake down.
Him: Go's to the gym, fucking handles his business, does more cardio cuz he's there early. Goes home, gets a good meal in before work.
You: Drive to the gym yawning, half-ass your workout, notice you are still dehydrated and weak from the bullshit breakfast you ate.
Him: At night, he slams his pins, looks in the mirror at flawless body, gets another piece cuz he's sauced and he gots Test to spare.
You: Drink again, come home, look at pathetic piece of shit body in mirror, pin gear quickly and go to bed.
Him: Squared Away
You: Wasting precious gear

Do you guys drink when you are taking AAS?
If I'm taking orals at the time. If it's Test & something else (i.e. EQ) then if I go out I might have a beer. Usually while on cycle I'll use it as an excuse to be the DD.

You probably should have gotten the party lifestyle "out" of you before you started using AAS. It doesn't usually mix with bodybuilding, AAS, etc very well.

Yeah what O said is true. What a waste of gear! I feel before you start a cycle you should have your shit together and be eating and training properly first. Too many people think the juice will compensate for their indiscretions. It will not, you will still look like crap.

How bad really is it for you ?
If you would have asked me a few months ago I would have said it's not really that bad for you. However, after watching my dad die of liver failure (he was a big drinker) I'd say adding alcohol (i.e. a few drinks with regularity) on top of AAS is a very bad idea (& I'm not just talking about for the sake of body building).

And reward your self when you have finished

Who cares if it's bad for you on cycle, it's already bad enough for you when you're not on anything.
For the 90000bazillion time, alcohol destroys muscle tissue as well as slows down the metabolism, regardless of the person consuming it...it does this to all people. I'm not saying you can't enjoy a drink or two now and then, but you have to determine for yourself what is more important to you and weigh the cost.

My last cycle i was getting drunk at 3-5 times a week and i dont drink beer, just hard liquor.This was actually very unusuall for me , because usually i drink no more than twice a month.But it was still a successfull cycle.However i do think that alchohol is very bad for the body and mind.Right now i'm trying not to party as much.

I don't drink much on cycle but when i feel like it I'll have a one day get wasted. But that is when I feel everything else besides my mind is perfect.

Extremely bad.
If you can't decide whether you want to "party" or use AAS, I suggest you give up AAS and focus on drinking.
If you aren't mature or dedicated enough to sacrifice for the health of your liver, then you might as well just drink.
Don't do both.
A glass of red wine is one thing, but two cases of beer is something completely different.

i couldn't answer your question from experience because i haven't drank since i was 15,but i have seen young bodybuilders with great potential turn to shit because they couldn't answer the question your asking now,so is it worth it?

Absolutely not......
Since June only one time I have had a few beers and that was at Hooters last week.
The next day I felt like I cheated on myself and spent a extra 45 Min's on Cardio

I was very dehydrated in the mornings, but since i retain a lot of water i was actually looking good.I've never had appetite problems - i was still eating every 2-3 hours.I wasnt working at that time , so i had enough time to recover during the day, in the evening was ready for a heavy workout, after which i was going straight to club.I did feel a lot better and stronger in the days i did drink though.

It's never that glamourous, Hurt2Luv......but yes I do drink a glass or two of Merlot if I'm out having dinner.

You should concentrate on training, more than getting shit faced. It´s sometimes hard to say NO (i know i´m from Finland), but to progress you have to sacrifice things. Drinking and bodybuilding or powerlifting doesn´t mix well together. Last weekend i did a retarded thing, drank both days and on sunday felt like i was about to die and i vomited all day. I´m going to lay off the sauce for awhile just to punish myself and so should YOU!

LOLOL, woof, I expected a slap on the wrist but didn't think I would get my whole head chewed off. I understand though where you guys are coming from, during my first 3 years of training I didn't touch a drink, you would have to tie me up and force it down my throat, but I don't know what has changed but something definitly has. Maybe I have come to terms with reality or because I am still young looking to experience life and what I call "normal" people activities lol. Lack of motivation and surrounding yourself with people that don't have the same interests such as bodybuilding also can be a problem, ohhh well. You guys are definitly right tho, if I want to have any shot at greatness I have to make some saccrifices to be great and it looks like this is one of them. So DIV you can have my bottle of captain, O you can have my hennessy, and freakfest you can have my baccardi :'(. I'm holding onto the bud light tho, you can pry that from my cold dead hands!!!! jking ::). Did it before and can do it again.
Also, should mention current cycle stats, Have been on for 12 days, have increased body weight by 12 pounds and increase on the incline bench of over 50 pounds. Curling way more, shoulder pressing unthinkable amounts etc... but going to only increase weight by 10 pounds every 2 weeks to make sure that body adjusts to the new strength don't want anymore shoulder injuries ;D

Think of it like this....
Every time you get smashed, it erases any progress from the workout you did before, and will affect the next workout you have after.
It's pretty bad, not to mention the dehydration.
Alcohol is worse for your liver than using 17AA orals.

GETITONNY had a great recipe to bring down liver enzymes...So if your going to drink, flushing your liver just may be on the list of things to do...
Here is what he said to do
Cut a lemon in half and put one half in a blender...Next add 1/4 cup of pineapple juice...Then add 1/2 cup of olive oil...Then throw in 1 cup of water...Blend it all into a liquid...Add splenda if needed...
He stated that you do this for 7 to 10 days to bring down liver enzymes...
So if your going to go on a drinking binge, this just may help save your liver...It certainly couldn't hurt...

I really don't drink to much anyone but i just recently tried a concocsion of Vodka and pink lemonaide Crystal lite...The stuff tasted great and i never got dehydrated drinking the stuff...Which means no hangover what so ever..
Next time your going to a party or something try this drink...
1. mix half a satchet of Crystal lite and water in a 32oz water bottle(nalgene makes a great water bottle)
2...Add 5 to 7 ounces of Vodka of your choice(Grey Goose is expensive but well worth it)..
3...Use plenty of ice..
For every 32Oz bottle you drink in a night, you are also taking in 25plus ounces of water(Clite) and no one else is taking in that kind of water and getting plastered at the same time

Haha, I love your creativity wombat. Grey Goose? your going to bust my wallet :). Anyways, on that liver enzyme mix. So do you just ingest just ONE of those whipped up beverages a day or more than one for the 7 to 10 days.

Not often, maybe once or twice a month i'll drink 2-3 Guiness on a saturday night...i haven't been drunk in a long time. waste of time and money IMO. i'll drink a glass of red wine if me and the gal go out for a nice meal.

Of course its not good for you but many people do it...If your getting ready for a show, one wouldn't even think of touching such things...But in the offseason and you want to have a few drinks, water based drinks are the way to go

If you get "plastered" then no matter what, you have had too many I don't care how you slice it. And all the negatives shall apply, dehydrated, fat storage, hung over, muscle wasting, liver toxicity. Sounds like if you drink a couple 2-3 of those 32's before you know it you have had almost a fifth of grey goose. Typically a mixed drink has 1-2 oz booze not 8! Does not matter how much water or crystal lite you add it is still at least 6 drinks.
Yes a drink once a week wont kill you (a glass of red wine, a pint of beer, 1-2oz vodka) yeah and like I said before if not too worried about BF then enjoy. People have a different perspective on what "fat" is anyhow.

Those hardgainers will not have the issue of stored bodyfat from alcohol sugars that most of us would.
In addition, anyone with already low BF% wouldn't have that much of an issue so long as they kept the vodka to a minimum.
It's really not matter to me, as I'm not a partyer anway.

I may have drinks once a week but no more. Sometimes I get a nice little buzz. But my workouts never suffer, my appetite is great and I drink a lot of water. I typically will only have drinks on a sat since i do not work out on Sunday. You have to know your body and how it responds. For me body fat has never been an issue with drinks. And as far as muscle I continue to gain. Its those guys that go out 2 or more times a week get drunk and don't eat correctly the next day and have little sleep that should really watch their alcohol intake. A few drinks once a week wont be bad if you know your body can handle it. As a body builder you need to be in tune with your body!
