Legal or not, this proves that Lee has market appeal. It also proves that he is valuable to the IFBB. If the IFBB didn't think that Lee's persona brings something to the table for them, they would have banned him and that would have been that. The fact that they are "making a deal" tells me something about Lee's value to the IFBB.
If Lee takes the deal or not means nothing to most people's everyday life. My wife refers to Bodybuilding as a male soap opera and I agree. I give Lee credit for building himself into a brand with at least more pull in this industry than most will ever have. That's why Lee has the haters.

How the hell could they take Lee's money? The IFBB steals from its bodybuilders but usually in a more subtle manner.

What they could do is impose a fine equal to what he made in the other federation.
They aren't looking to fine him, as far as I know...they (the IFBB) haven't fined anyone since...well...since Wayne was let go.
I'm sure it's just a coincidence being that Ben Weider is still in charge, with Manion at the helm in place of Wayne...! ;D

Was Wayne really an asshole or was he just told what to do by people higher up than him?
He seemed like a jerk during the 2002 Olympia athlete's meeting, but my theory is that when you're dealing with meatheads it can get very frustrating. No offense to you in particular, but if Kevin showed up late he shouldn't complain that he got yelled at like a child.
Granted, Kevin should have showed up on time...but Wayne was out of line yelling at him in front of everyone else. That should have been saved for after the meeting.

wayne suspends lee a few years ago, and then lee goes ahead and joins the new federation that wayne starts.

Maybe because Lee out of all the IFBB pros realizes Wayne did what he was told by Weider. Now that Wayne doesn't have to listen to Weider the PDI will be much better. I can't understand why you guys don't realize that Wayne took his orders from Weider. What is so hard about that. Weider controls everything. What is so hard to realize that.

"Those above" only knew what Wayne chose to tell them and enforce...you think Ben would have known who attended a meeting late, etc.?
Wayne was also the promter of the Olympia, he and he alone, chose to NOT pay the athletes placing out of the top 10...as he stated at the press conference.

If we go by your theory, Keith...why hasen't ONE athlete been fined...and the only suspention on record since Wayne's demise...has been for guys who have jumped ship recently...a rule that has been enforced for years.
BTW..Weider is still in charge...same guy in charge, different captain at the helm.(Manion)

See I am learning from you. I am getting better. I have actually decided not to argue so much anymore about the PDI. It seems to be proving itself so far pretty good. They don't need it like before they did the NOC. Now it has taken off and getting more shows going. A couple IFBB promoters coming now and oh well the PDI will do what its got to do.
