what's going on in the motor city?

They're preparing to kick the crap out of the Cardinals, just like they did to the Yankees and the A's.

We actually had the MLB All-Star game 2 years ago(I went to the HR derby :)), The Superbowl last Feb., A few Pistons runs, Now the World series and Wrestlemania on April 2(I told my nephew I would take him :-\). Not bad the last few years for such a shitty city. :)

They have very strong pitching. Best there has been in awhile. The Tigers will maul the cardinals. I predict a sweep like in 04 when Boston owned them.

I gotta hand it to the Cards. They are always in the hunt for the world series.

Yes, I realize that.

However, you guys still have to endure those fucking Lions, year after year...........

It's not easy man. At least when we had Barry, we could be proud of something, now we just look forward to the occasional win over a team like Buffalo :-\

What a fucking player Barry Sanders was. Nice guy to boot. I met him at the Walter Camp dinner. At 5'8" and the punishment he took. Amazing.

Don't just write off the Cardinals. Suppan and Carpenter make them dangerous.

Care to explain why in the hell Millen still has a job?

How can you still have a job as GM when your team's record is something like 12-68 while you've been GM?

Does Millen have video of the owner watching kiddie porn or something?

That Matt Millen still has a job is one of the great mysteries of the sports world.

No one knows why he is still here. It's fucked up, they always blame the coaches and the QB's, but not Millen. I do think his days are numbered though, but then again, with the Fords, who knows?

Not as dangerous as the Tigers. The frightening thing about the Tigers is that their bullpen is incredible. Normally you're thrilled when the starter comes out of the game but not when you're facing Detroit.

Does everyone in that bullpen throw 99 MPH fastballs or does it just seem that way?

I hope your ticket prices are low because I have no idea how the owners can justify putting that crap on the field year after year after year. They had the most incredible running back I've ever seen and they never built a team around him and now this INSANE garbage with Millen running the team. The Ford's should be forced to sell to someone that actually gives a crap about winning.

The prices are still high because Ford field is relatively new, but I agree with you. Millen is a very hated man around here.

That one dude was clocked over 100MPH consistently. I don't even think he was their closer.

He says 103. He is always on TV on the Comcast commercials, saying their connection is as fast as his pitches. It's pretty stupid. I think his name might be Zumaya?
