I've been practicing posing for about 40 minutes today. That's quite a test of endurance! It's hard! And trying to become conscious of every single muscle! Well anyway, I think I did rather well towards the end.
Getting ready for the Mr. Getbig 2007...

you've got around 95 pound's to lose, yoiu look like 30-40%bf. ::)
-
Hopefully you put on some weight come next year, as you don't seem big enough to start dieting for a contest. Are you natural? I'd look on getting another 10-15 kilos or so come next year if you want to come in ripped to shreds with decent muscle size.

Yeah, I've only been bodybuilding for just over a year but the competition doesn't seem too aggressive for me. And seeing how far I've come in the last year, I know I'll put on a lot more size in the following months.

I'm sure Adonis would love to learn about this. I'm one of those bodybuilders that controls their diet very strictly, yet I'm still a fatass! hahaha It's easy for me to lose weight as long as I just take out carbs and run more. It's easy but I hate doing it. My workouts suffer...
Honestly, I think I need help in this area. I have abs so I figure I'm alright. I don't know how many calories to take in so I just eat a lot of clean food. And I'm always worried that I'll focus too much on maintaining a certain BF% rather than putting on size as fast as possible. My attitude just isn't accepting of that concept.
Yeah, I have to admit. I'm a bit self conscious about my smoothness now.

you look pretty beefed up! nice work!

Maybe you should try my shitty 1/8 squats....

Yep, those "sticks" are my pride and joy. After only a year's training my squat went from 95-345 pounds. My thighs have been coming along quite nicely. As a natural, I couldn't ask for better results than that!

You've misunderstood me. I'm not bashing you for not being natural. I'm simply saying that I'm making as much progress as I'd ever want while being natural. That statement has all to do with me and nothing to do with you.
As a matter of fact, I'm considering starting a cycle sometime in my mid-20s. So don't think I have anything against steroids, because I don't. I'm just too young and inexperienced to consider them for anytime in the near future.
Thanks for the compliments. Honestly, I'm just being a smartass. All I want to hear is that I helped motivate you to do some crazy fuckin leg workout with ass to grass squats to failure, causing you to crawl out of the gym so you can shut all of us up.

Figgs vs. Franco!
We have similar physiques.
I might be getting owned but am holding my own! And with bigger forearms!!! ;D
-
your body fat is fine just eat dude. youll be glad as long as you dont over do it and end up with love handles. :-[

Its all good man..Jeeezuz...us bodybuilders sometimes are way too sensitive...I gotta catch myself sometimes and take a look at the big picture...Keep doin what your doing baby Franco...hah...
-
figgs, for a natural, you're pretty huge. Don't see too many natty's your size after one year of training, but I'm sure you take it to the next level where others don't.

It ain't your fault! On a place like Getbig with this much senseless bashing going on it's easy to mistake a post like mine for more bashing. In the end, we're all brothers. The brothers of iron!
I'ma keep doin my thing! Believe that! And I want to see you post some pictures of yourself on the floor after collapsing from squats next time! Keep it up! You're an inspiration!

Thanks for the feedback, sir!
No need to be modest. I train on a level of intensity which is rarely reached. There's no other way in my mind.

Keep at it figgs.
Keep adding mass, just keep the bodyfat levels in check.
To be honest, I'm very impressed with your progress.
You got a long way to go, perhaps 15-20 years before being your best, but you will look great much sooner than that.

Thanks a lot, Hedghog. Your feedback truly motivates me.
I just finished my run. I have to do that more often to keep in shape. I slowed down since I sprained my ankle, but that's much better now.
I'll certainly be training just as hard 15, 20, 30 years from now. I just hope I continue to be cautious and avoid injuries along the way. I'm curious how long it will take me to achieve the level of muscular development Mentzer had.

Not big enough? If the kid is natural he is plenty big ::) Lets see some of your pics. I bet you are 230 ripped. All natural to boot ::)
Look thick man. Keep it up.

I was judging it by the first pic where he didn't look big enough to start dieting.

I'm definetely not going to allow myself to get love handles!

I'm afraid he might be right for I fear I might end up like one of those sticks in the natural contests. :-[
I'm not letting that happen!
Thanks, dude.
And here's my 2 month progress. I've been on a powerlifting cycle for the past 3 weeks, which is really adding on a hell of a lot of strength and mass!

Looking great man good progress

big difference in your forearems...

Thanks, and yeah my forearm genetics are ridiculous. You should see my dad's forearms!

The development of Mentzer?
Some people would say it is impossible for naturals to get there.
Impossible is nothing though.
One thing is for certain: If it took Mentzer 5-6 years to get there with the help of steroids, it should take you some 20 years.
The last few pounds will be the hardest.

20 years, man? Whether or not I stay natural during that time period is uncertain. But I'm not even thinking about that at my young age.

Damn you are thick for your age! Great upperchest!
-

your not seeing his arm right dude....you are thinking that his arm is at his side, and that his upper arm stretches all the way across half his body....but its much closer to the mirror than it looks, thus making it appear larger since you cant tell that its not up against the body.
look at the incircled angle...
-
You're a monster, figgs! What training did you do for the massive chest and arms?

So my arms are small because they're close to the camera? ::)
My arms are pushing against my lats (which aren't lacking any mass). Honestly, unless I don't flex my lats, I don't know how to get my arms around them!

Thanks! My upper chest is well developed because when I first started training I did nothing but the incline bench because I read that doing all incline is the best way to build a balanced chest. That worked for a while but then my lower pecs started to lag. And nothing beats flat bench and dips!

Thank you! I focus a lot on upper chest. Never neglect that area! Pretty basic exercises from BB bench, BB incline bench, DB flyes, DB bench presses and dips.
For triceps I focus greatly on french presses. Almost all tricep workouts either begin or end with DB or BB french presses. I also do rear bench dips (which I perform with 5 plates and a 25 on my lap! Full reps!) and fixed bar extensions (bodyweight french presses. If you don't know what these are let me know because I don't want anyone missing out on these results!). For biceps I'm very basic, doing BB or DB curls, preacher curls and incline curls.
Just brief, infrequent, but very very high intensity workouts.

no...your arms arent as big as he thinks they are..because they are away from your body...and he is looking in the mirror with the idea that they are up against your body..making them look alot bigger..(in comparison to your torso)...

Dude, just look at my arms in my new pic. They're right against my torso and they look even bigger than they do in the side chest.
