Ed & I talked with alot of of BW, LW, MW & LHW men that have turned Pro that would love to step on stage and compete.
We came up with this new show and thanks to Jim Manion, which he also understands and approved it. The $3,000 is just a start, for all those that complained here is your chance to win a Pro Show. You also will be able to compete again the next day at the Europa Super Show $30,000 Men's Pro Show.

$30,000 first place or $30,000 total prize money?
-
VERY interesting development...well done!
I can't remember the bet, but love it when a prediction comes true. :D
-
How do I sign up?
-
Thats so dope!!!! theres some ill ass light heavies out there! good idea
-
I think the IFBB as a whole needs a 210lbs and under division.
-
It's not an Olympia qualifier is it?
-
YES!!!!!!!!!!!!
Bravo, Ed and Betty!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
Whoa! This is very cool for the smaller bodybuilders who feel that they do not have a chance against the heavyweights and superheavyweights.
1) Will the competitors on Friday night also be able to compete on Saturday night?
2) As an IFBB pro, is this an exhibition or do the top three qualify for the Olympia?
3) Since you put down a weight class in the IFBB, will the competitors have to be officially weighed the night before the show, or the morning of the show?
4) Since the venue and city is changing from Arlington to Dallas, is everything set up with the new information?
-
YES!!!!!!!!!!!!
Bravo, Ed and Betty!!!!!!!!!!!!
Bravo?
dude...you alright?
-
How soon till the IFBB pulls the plug on this "weight class" idea?
-
Great now Ken Jones has a chance to make a top 10 ;D
-
They will do anything to get Lee back.Nice idea.
-
three grand, i wouldnt get out of bed for that, let alone diet my ass off.
-
What about a heavy load of gear for 3k now that's worth it? 3k is a heap in BB where you been living.Man if they the promoters give 10k they think they are gods.

Why would the IFBB "pull the plug" on it, when they had to sanction it in the firstplace??
The idea (and it's a good one) falls strictly on the promoters, this isn't something that will be at every IFBB Pro show...Ed and Betty are trying something new, and giving opportunity to those 210 and under to compete on a level playing field...
-
Until the next day ::)

Actually...it's a good thing because it's going to make people realize that bigger isn't always better for some competitors.
Example...I always felt Flex Wheeler looked better when he came in lighter than trying to jump his weight up.

VERY VERY GOOD IDEA THOUGH!
I AM IMPRESSED. GET MY APPROVAL!
Time to get excited about bodybuilding for a change.

Interesting, because of it being a separate show is the IFBB charging them a sanction fee. That right there explains why they wouldn't pull the plug. As long as it won't the IFBB a dime why would they mind. And if they can actually make more money from it then even better. Not sure how many other promoters would do this since all it does is take away from their profits. Interesting though. Too bad the prize money isn't more, but I understand why not since the promoters are the ones having to put it up. Good for them though to at least try to make their show even better.
-
No, I don't believe there is a seperate sanction fee. Promoters pay a sanction fee for the general divisions, not classes...that is up to the contest promoters.

does this change the number of Olympia qualifiers who walk out of that show?
-
I doubt it...
-
I doubt it...
besides Troy Alves, Dave Henry, Dugdale (i think) "the last Phil heath we saw", Lee priest (just no happening) and the sensational Ken jones...haha...remind me of just which pro's fall under 210??
-
Anyone who has turneed pro as a middleweight, or lightheavy would fall into that category...

which lately (if I am correct) is not that many

I was just wondering cause they said it was a separate show and everything. Even done on a different day. Not just an added class.
-
Is Brian Chamberlain under 210 lbs???? I think he would have a great shot at a show like this, he's been looking pretty awesome this year, but has just been getting some shitty placings.
-
Dave henry, eryk bui, dim, ergas, dugdale. This will be good. Sucks for Lee.

yes, they're calling it a separate contest, but I'll just record it as Lightweight and Heavyweight

Why it only pays $3,000. And is that the total purse. It's a great idea just a long time overdue

4) Since the venue and city is changing from Arlington to Dallas, is everything set up with the new information?
Change of venue? Any word as to the where of the new facility?
Or host hotel?
-
Someone ask why is it only $3,000, Because Betty & I are putting our own money up to get it on the schedule. If you would like to add your own money, jump right in like we are. We are hoping to get a sponsor involved and maybe raise the prize money.
We have moved the entire EXPO to a just completed new facility at the Dallas Convention Center, it is 5 times bigger than the venue that was sold out this year. With over 15 events, we needed the room. This new venue is a city block square.
Someone also ask, how many under 210 pounds are in the IFBB. We are not attracting the winners form the Nationals from all those other classes into the IFBB. 70% of all the NPC competitors that compete in the NPC are under 210. Branch Warren won the Nationals at 210 & Johnny Jackson won the over all at 199. So do not call this a LW Class. It is more like a HW & LHW class. We are going to find out who the best built under 210 BB in the World is !!!
We have already receved a ton of e-mail this weekend from past National class winners that have already wanted more info.
We will have a list by the first of the year. You are going to be surprised at the names that are on it.

To all the supplement companies that post here... the best times to put your name on events is the FIRST time it happens.
Which one of you is rooting for the little guy? Hit up Ed and Betty and get your name on a banner! A lot of fans are going to be rooting for the underdog, the LHW.
-
seriously the 210 lb and under would bring alot of cometitors out of the woodwrtk in yrs to come if the ifbb came up with a good gameplan for it!
maybe you get the skip lacours, jeff willets of the world up there!
-
Does anyone remember Sylvester Solomon or Craig Licker. That is the type of athlete we are going to get back in the IFBB. If someone has a list of the past LHW MW LW that won the Nationals over the past 10 years I would love to see a list and those names. You can bet I will contact them.

The best in the world under 210lb on that day in that venue at that time in that organization.Well the best sort of.
-
Hoping this will be the thing of the future and The Best Poser award(sometimes worth 10G's) can be eliminated...Guys like Kamali who never even hit a pose correctly have no business winning 10Gs for things like best poser...
-
Great idea...Jaroslav Horvath should be there next year!
-
After the horrible dance party Ed Pariso threw onstage at the last Europa...
...he TOTALLY redeems himself!!!
Best thing that has happened to BB in years, and the lineup has great potential.
Look for other shows to follow suit.
