How does it feel having a newborn, and a family versus being a bachelor for a while?
Where does Mike live, what state, etc?
Mike did not have a heart attack, he had open heart surgery, and how does he feel!
Does Mike still lift weights three times a week.
What is Mike doing now?
Does Mike feel like he still wants to compete on stage again?
How does Mike feel about the sport in general on how is it going?
Does Mike have any precautions for the younger bodybuilders who want to enter the sport?
What is the importance of having the correct attitude to excell in the bodybuilding sport?
How does Mike feel about Betty Pariso using his trademark toungue routine?
How does Mike feel about Joe Weider?

Mike, what are the three biggest goals of your life at this point?
-
Mike, if Mike Matarazzo Jr. wanted to become a bodybuilder like dad, what would you tell him and why?
-
Mike, who do you predict will win the Ron Avidan Classic this spring?
-
Ask him if he wants to know who called me before my show to tell me Mike wasn't going. At the time he wanted to kill the guy. I never told him or anyone.

Why didn't Ben get asked the Getbig question of the week?
GetBig.com Question of the Week: Currently one of Bodybuilding's most popular online destinations, GetBig.com and PBW have created the "GetBig.com Question of the Week". Members of the GetBig.com message board can now submit questions for PBW's featured guest. Each week, “GetBig's” head moderator Ron Avidan will personally select one question. The winning question will be read on the air for the guest...the winner will also receive a $50 Bodybuilding.com Gift Certificate!
RON SPEAK ON IT.

Why didn't Ben get asked the Getbig question of the week?
That is a dumb question to ask Mike ;D
This is proof that Dan and Bob do listen to suggestions put forth to them about guests.
I am so looking forward to this interview!
-
Do tongue push-ups really work?
-
Yes - there will be a Getbig question of the week for Mike. Ask away - but make sure they are better then they ones I just ask!!!!
Yes - at the Olympia, I gave Ben Weider various questions, so technically, he did answer a Getbig question of the week. But I got the prize - it was a signed book from Ben, Joe & Betty! I think Dan covered the basis by discussing the questions, especially about Wayne or Lee.

What would he do different given the chance?.

-
mike was the man.
he was always a little nuts and seemed to exist outside the box.
ron's right. he was always gracious and exciting and had a certain humility in spite of his larger than life persona and physique.
he was also an ex boxer which is always pretty cool.
not sure what to ask him. just hope he's doing ok now. he deserves it. ;D

Question for Mike:
Was your transition out of competing very difficult or was it something that was easy to accept?
Did you think in any way that with enough time and recupperation that you would ever step on stage again or did you know after the surgery that your competitive career was over?
-
What happened to the Weider thread
-
What happened to the Weider thread
New Presidential Mandates, next he will be confiscating all your pineapples as offensive material because you voiced a disparaging opinion.
Oh crap...so did I now... Does the IFBB have a Guantanamo Bay detention center?
-
What happened to the Replay?
Dan? Bob?
-
well, I have to say that Mighty Mike was very honest about his health conditions, the cause, and his views on bodybuilding. I thank you a lot for your Honesty, Mike :). BE WELL

In typical Matarazzo fashion, he holds nothing back. Big Mike had plenty to say about the events that landed him on the operating room table for emergency open-heart surgery, following an 11 year pro career. (The replay is up at the PBW site)

Just listened to it & it's understandable why he was a favorite in the 90's.
Mike Matarazzo = off the hook

Hey Dan,
Once again, great show. I have always been a big fan of Mike, and I very glad to hear that he didn’t have too many regrets about his own history with bodybuilding. Just out of curiosity, do you think Mike's current health situation will send a clear caution to bodybuilders of present and future?

Probably Not. – If you recall, During the PBW interview, Matarazzo said:
“If I had a crystal ball and I knew that I would have a triple bypass 10 years down the road, I don’t know if it would have even scared me out of bodybuilding…..”
Mike's statement certainly offers a great look into the mind of a serious competitor.
