Title: How do you keep your lair smelling all fresh and wonderful?
Post by: Al-Gebra on October 29, 2006, 07:28:45 AM: My house has been under my own management for a couple of months . . . as the holiday season approaches, I am interested in maintaining the tone it had under the former management. Any tips on how to keep it smelling fresh and wonderful would be greatly appreciated.

i would ask my female relatives, but they make large assumptions all the time.

PS. Doesn't smell bad, but it doesn't smell wonderful either.

Then you may want to try plug-in type air scents.

My neighbor's house smells wonderful and it's because she uses about 8 (throughout the home) Yankee Candle plug-in air freshener things and her flavor is Sage and Citrus.

(but I think I've read something about inhaling that stuff might not be good for you...??? )

Nice! For a man I would suggest the Sage and Citrus scent or the Midnight something? scent. You can go to the store and smell the candles and decide the ones you prefer. I don't think all of the candle scents are available in the plug-in things though.

For Christmas time they may have some scents that smell like cinnamon or pine trees.

They may have some vanilla caramel type scents but those make me want to eat frosting :(

Open a window. ;D

Or, have the cleaning lady come in one extra day to javex everything she doesn't normally do on a weekly basis. If you have any carpets, send them out to be cleaned. Get someone in to steam clean the couches and chair fabric. Then order fresh flowers and do the plug-in thing. Easy. Done.

Come hanksgiving and christmas time, i have a small pot of apple cider with some cinnamon sticks on the stve and let that go on low heat before company comes over. Gives you that holiday smell

Miggs, as the great bathroom debate rages on I can promise you this, NOTHING gets rid of foul nasty odors like Fabreeze fresh linens!!! usally you get sick of a bathroom/room spray in a few weeks, this stuff is the bomb try it !
