twisted fantasy, stuff that came from a dream or a nightmare depending upon your opinion
-
Where the hell have you been? Nice art by the way, but Sexual Mustard owns you.
I especially like the dream/nightmare drawing. It's fantastic!
-
I've been around just not posting...glad that you like the work.

Fake Plates. Need to train chest.

Very good art talent Myseone.I actually like it more than the art posted by Sexual Mustard.SM's art was very good also but I don't care for the magna influence in his work.Your art is a very realistic style of art which I prefer.Great stuff.

;D

It's not my best work but I am not very good
Dude come on we know that was done by sarcasm and not you.
-
awesome work. the personal pieces are the best. reminds me of pointilism. and the nightmare piece has a neckface vibe to it.
and i don't believe that an artist can own another artist. Myseone and Sexual Mustard are obviously doing 2 totally different things.
-
did you guys draw this on the computer? if so which program im an artist myself
-
Impressive Myseone! :)
Keith, lol....nice calves btw.
Shawn, is that Jean Claude Van Damm?

I used a pencil for the self portrait, the matsuzi and the fantasy piece...the anatomy charts were done in pencil then scanned into the computer where I used adobe illustrator and photoshop. What type of art do you do?
-
More art

more fantasy mind stuff

weird science

A display I did at Saks 5th Ave store in NYC, a few of the panels
-
Myseone, as you post each drawing I become increasingly impressed. Sorry Sexual Mustard, but I think you have some competition here!
I really like the fantasy stuff!!! Where do you get the inspiration? Do you just trace from your mind's eye or are you drawing other pictures or images?
Here's mine by the way. I'm not that talented because I only draw when I get the inspiration, which is like once every few months. I have very little practice and experience which makes me even more proud of what work I do. Does anyone know what movies this is from?
-
props to a fellow artist!
Figgs--why is it hard for you to gain inspiration? If you practiced more consistently, you'd be GREAT!
Best,
SM

Hey, ya think so? :)
I lack inspiration because it's hard to stay dedicated with the hobby when I'm just about 100% certain I won't put that talent to much professional use. Do you have any advice on where to draw inspiration? I'm not saying you guys don't inspire me, because you do! I just need to tap into my creative imagination somehow.
Actually, I've recently become interested in clay art. I'm a big fan of Bruce Bickford. Do you know his work?
Here's some more. lol and that's almost all the drawing I've done in the past year. But when I get into it, I get serious!

Good work, good understanding of line, I think that you could take your work to a new level if you brought in shadow and light..
It's funny, when I was a little kid my goal was to be the best artist in the world, and I worked towards that, I eventually arrived a place where I knew that this was difficult, how do you compare the best basketball player to the best swimmer, or the best bodybuilder, it would be hard to, besides competing against yourself allows you to achieve higher levels.
Inspiration from experiences, thoughts, things I have seen, places, people, etc..
The fantasy pictures were done straight from my brain, no tracing there.

Inspiration comes from new experiences, seeing new things, metting new people, reading new books, etc.. add some new experiences out of your current realm of comfort and your art work will change.
The elephant is cool.

Holy Shite dude you're freakin' talented!

I haven't drawn in 15 years but it seemed like I only drew when I was depressed. My stuff is pretty simple compared to you guys.
-
I would just like to thank everyone for the positive and encouraging remarks. I put everything I got into my drawings. I will continue to amze all of you with more drawings as they come to mind. It sometimes takes me days, weeks and even months to come up with the finsihed product. I always like to give 110% to my drawings. Also, please keep in mind that the other artists are obviously on "something" and I am 100% natural. I don't even take supplements. ;D

Thanks! Yeah the shadowing is done pretty poorly in that first pic. That's about 2 years old.
My parents always told me to just be the very best I can possibly be. If I were you, I'd feel content with my artistic talents (unless I felt I hadn't reached my potential), which go beyond just the average artist. You're both an illustrator and a sculptor of the human physique!
I really wish I knew how to tap into my creative imagination in order to draw something similar to your fantasy drawings. What kind of state of mind do you enter? You must be in some kind of hypnotic state of creativity.
When confronted with a new experience, new sight or any potential new source of inspiration, what thoughts stimulate artistic inspiration? I'm trying to understand the thought processes of an artist who perceives inspiration in his/her own unique way.

As for myseone and SM? Suspicion grows... hahaha

Just add shadow and light gradually, the best way to understand light and shadow is to study how it interacts with simple objects. Try shining a soft light from one side of a tennis ball or a tin can, and draw it, when you get nice with that graduate to things such as fabric, bodies, etc..
A good way to study light and shadow is to look at black and white pictures of bodybuilders.
I can't say I'm content with my artwork, I definitely don't think I've reached my full potential by any means yet, I'm going to see what specific focus can create in this regard. I'm happy with my physique, I think that I have some more room to improve though.
I'm not exactly sure if I enter a state of mind, if its a state I'm in it most of the time, as I'm always analyzing, day dreaming etc..so it comes natural for me. Music can help the process though, if I'm creating something driven and energetic I little to driven music, something relaxing gets relaxing music.
A lot of artistic expression is developed in the subconscious, the more diverse your experiences the more info in your subconscious and the more you can create out of it. also creativity is like growing muscles the more you stress it the stronger it gets.

;D
Good stuff, whos the artist?
-
WOW i like your art dude. Very impressive to say the least.
Just one thing, have you got any painted pieces because not to take anything away as most of my pics used to be just done in pencil, but since i started oil painting, i realised the difficulty and skill is too a whole other level from shaded pics.
Anyway this is my first ever oil pic, with no previous are classes or tution - even though i need a class to learn how to use oild properly.

Thanks, yes I have painted pieces as well, most of my canvases aren't saved to the computer though. I have worked in a variety of mediums, oil, water color, airbrush, spray paint, and computer painting...
Not bad at all for a first time piece. You don't neccessarily need classes to paint or draw, I'm self taught myself, it depends on the way you learn best.
Peace,
Law

Here is another piece, tell me what you think.
However, the pictures coming through look completely different as the quality of jpeg is messing with the colours and sharpness of the pic.

Definitely unique, reminds me of Picaso somewhat. What is the meaning in this one?

I use images of statues to represent the idea of the body as a monument to itself and our culture, and images of real, fleshy bodies to represent emotional life. The winged figures represent that part of our thought that refuses to be material and finite.
The peice can mean whatever you want it to mean to you. But it was generally the idea of hope and depression and the aid of friends or God to help you in times of need. However, as in life we are often unsure if friends have our best intentions at heart.
The peice is not finished, i have bout 2 layers to go (using the 7 layer rule of classical oil painters, which i read online somewhere), i want it to be much darker and smoother. The sparkling is due to wet paint being captured and the image has been compressed so looks hardly anything like it does in real life.
Anyway, these were just practice peices to see if i had potential with oil paints. I only realised in my 2nd peice the differences which can be made with correct equipment, linseed oil, turpentine, thinners. I hope to learn a lot more on my next couple of peices.

weird science
This pic is crazy man, look great, i love the fantasy aspect of your pics. Just a question: how long did you take to do this, and is it done in pencil?

damn it i need scanner. i can throw down with the pencil!!!!!!!!

Figgs, I can tell from your art that the line control is there; now you just have to know where and how to apply them. And that's all through practice and memory. We weren't born with pencils/brushes in our hands. I always say drawing is like a sport--you get better with more practice. The difference between me and someone who is older and thinks he/she can't draw is that I just happened to start "practicing" since I was 3, and never stopped! You get what you put into it, kinda like bodybuilding. Not everyone can be DaVinci, but everyone CAN get better.

Don't forget about the great BARBARIAN DAVID PAUL is an awesome artist. Here is one that david painted.
-
The picture of Sean looks really good. Allot like the covers of my uncle Joes magazine. He used to own this magazine Legends. And it won several awards for its artwork. If you remember back whatever year Tiger won the first grand slam he had baseball cards made and they set the record for one of highest selling cards in history. They were getting $10,000+ for the cards. His house if filled with the original paintings and they are awesome. By the way I still think mine is the best for a natural

Pastels are really messy. Computer Graphics are usually more blend especially when someone is still learning to use them. Here is a little sneack at pastels.

thanks dude, I dig your work. Alot of that anatomy shit is useful for both bodybuilding/drawing and vice versa. I've stopped copying straight from references all together and decided to just draw from my head and use what I've learned from my anatomy books to understand how and why things work instead of just copying what I see.

okay guys, i have been practising all night. tell me if I am getting better. I know the old one is bad, but my latest one is getting better. don't quite got the lines to meet really good but my hands were shaking.

thanks bro; these were both initially drawn in pencil. The portrait was then ink-washed and airbrushed. The Wonder Woman was airbrushed with minor water-color details. I appreciate it!
