Arnold: He's not even in shape yet.... A month from now would've been perfect for you, but then I get bigger too again.... If you retire this year you just never had the Olympia....

Gotta love that portion of the film the way he picks on Lou.  ;D

I believe you are right...I am afraid to say. I guess Louie never got over the viscious and brutal owning Arnold put on him throughout the entire movie. He never let it go it appears....now little kids and foolish 'fans' MUST PAY!

I believe if Pumping Iron was never made...Lou might be giving away his pics and autographs for FREE everytime and would be very friendly and cordial with 'fans'.

From Raw Iron: The Making of Pumping Iron....

Scene: Franco showing Arnold and the gang his side-chest pose in the gym

Arnold: Not front chest, side chest, Franco [moves Franco's body to the side] Ahhhhh.... See. Things change when you move to the side.

And of course the whole gang busts out laughing.  :D
Was there anyone Arnold didn't own? Of course not.  ;D

In the pump room doing pushups;
                         Arnold: "I watch you"
                          Louie: "I watch you"
                        Arnold: "I ooooooooo"

Another line where Arnold is talking about "the hill" and the guys are saying that theres only one way to go and thats down.  Arnold says or stay on top.  Then I belive its Robby Robinson? who says..."or you can go over the other side"...WTF is that??? ;D

I think he said "or go over the hill" as in be too old/out of shape or something.

In interviews, public appearances, etc. Arnold is always on guard with his wit but the one time I have EVER seen him caught off guard happened in a scene of Raw Iron: The Making of Pumping Iron when Arnold is on top of a mountain with the rest of the gang posing when suddenly someone yells at him, 'No one will look at the legs.' His reaction is classic, he just looks lost for words. Arnold's always taken humor in good stride.  :D

Arnold was owning everyone in that movie

The ownage was largely contrived, just like the T-shirt scene & Ferrigno shown working out in Brooklyn. Most of what Schwarzenegger said-about Franco, to Ferrigno, about his dad's funeral, etc. was BS for cinematic effect, to get attention. Very easily done-other than Waller the other  BBs heard talking were stiffs, some of the least impressive guys possible. He wouldn't have been able to talk that way to Oliva, Mentzer or Szkalak who by no accident weren't interviewed or even shown. With Oliva out for political reasons he already knew he was going to win the show beforehand; talking trash in front of cameras to someone like Ferrigno with learning disabilities couldn't have been easier. The directors decided early on to make it a docudrama star vehicle focusing on Schwarzenegger rather than the documentary it was advertised to be.

The comment about Franco's back was made by Padilla-his only words. Another guy they should've shown but didn't.

The movie can only be so long, there is alot of people that "should" have been in it/in it more but there just isn't time for everyone. One thing though is why did they waste so much time on that cry baby loser Mike Katz who looked like crap or should I say a spider.

That's my point; the other guys interviewed other than Waller were setups. Wouldn't have effected the running time of the movie or hurt to have shown others, including Oliva training in Chicago, or more of Mentzer, Robinson & Padilla. It was advertised as a documentary to give it veracity, but largely departed from the book towards Weider, for cinematic purposes. Common in  book-movie translations but they didn't have to go as far as they did.

I am not for sure but did Olivia even compete in the 75 O. Otherwise why have him in it.

For political reasons he wasn't there, but the film was supposed to be a documentary about BB, not about the Olympia. The contest focus was to impart a sense of drama to the movie. Unfortunately the directors followed a Weider slant that wasn't in the book version that included all those other guys who weren't shown. Including just a little on them with good editing wouldn't have effected what they were trying to do.

Yeah I didn't think he was there but I believe the movie was meant to show the lead up to the 75 Mr O. and Universe. It just sucks they couldn't get everyone in, they should have at least shown more of the comparisons during the pre judging rather then just a few quick scans of the competitors.
