Yup, Ron said it at the seminar in Western Australia.
Think about it. When Gunter place ahead of Ronnie in 2002, Ronnie went crazy in the gym and in 2003 he was amazing. How pissed off do you think he is now after placing 2nd 4 times to Jay.
Ronnie has the ability to dethrone Jay at his best ever next year.

About 70% of people will write him off but its his to lose IF he gets his back up to scratch again.

Clearly everyone but Ronnie has realized that he has reached the size limit for his build
at his heaviest weights he looks real sloppy, he should have kept the size that he had in 2005 and just tightening it up

I hope the guy keeps his health in mind and in check.. when you start going over 30iu's a day of slin and gh funky things can happen.

in the 2002 he was about 245 pounds and then he came in 287 pounds and was great but now what will he do after being 293 pounds in2006 olympia will he come in 305 pounds!!!!!!!!! ??? :-\ i dont think so and if he does hell be out of shape.so we have to admit that Jay has a better package.peace

i think so ronnie has the ability to look awesome at a higher bodyweight..just look at the videos from grand prixs in 2004.he was 305lbs in those grand prixs and he looked amazing as hell..yep it is possible that coleman can really look awesome at a bodyweight of 290lbs..ronnie is freak no doubt

Well... I think that competing at his heaviest was his strategy this year also. And it didn't work.
However you never know... this year he's not taking months off.

dude remember when he came 40lbs bigger in 2003..f**k he blew the competion away.i would say if he could come in at exactly at 290lbs he will win mr olympia 2007..but don't count jay out..jay has already started preparing for the olynpia..so anything can happen

He doesn't have to admit anything. Alot of pros play the game hurt. Guarantee they're more than a handful of guys on the Olympia stage year in and year out who are walking wounded the night of the show. All he has to do is regroup, train his ass off, and he will comeback in a huge way. What would admitting an injury do for him? Give you a story to write? "I told you so." He has probably seen his share of doctors offices.

Aging's a bitch; mid-40's a turning point. Even at the same weight he probably won't look the same. Hopefully i'm wrong, if he puts in the extra training.

Remember he tried again in 2004 and looked way off from 2003? I don't think Ron learned anything from this loss , he lost this year because he was too big and his conditioning suffered for it.

He started training late for the 06 Mr.O. He can get big now, and diet twice as long as this year for the 07 Mr.O.

Oh he was pleanty big that wasn't the issue it was his sharpness and the Olympia is the first contest he entered of the year he had a full year to train for one contest thats every bodybuilders dream thats a GREAT advantage compared to other guys who have to compete all year to qualify and make money.

Ronnie won't make an impact if he doesn't treat his injuries. He can't keep playing Ronnie Coleman eventually he's gonna have to get real.

IMO, this coming year Coleman is likely to burn the candle with a flamethrower, and whether or not his body will hold up until the contest remains to be seen.
I'm sure he'll pay for it all in a few years though. :'(
If he holds up until the contest, he will surely be the biggest ever, but I still doubt he'll win, his gut is likely going to be all over the place.
Doesn't matter if Coleman comes in @310-320 lbs. If his gut is bulging and his tits are droopy, he should forget about top three.

How does anyone know he injured his lat? That dude is an eight time Mr.Olympia and he doesnt owe anyone a damn explanation. He was off. Leave it at that. It wont make anyone sleep any better if Big Ron discloses any injuries he may have had. If you went by this board on reporting the news Ronnie, Martinez, Gunter, and Cutler would all have lat tears, quad tears, synthol use, and blah blah blah.

Not that I thought he was gonna live healthy past 50 before opening this thread to begin with either.

Ronnie could come in shredded to the bone at 310 lbs., that still won't fix the fact that he seems to be misisng his left lat and he has a hole in the right one form the front. I don't care how conditioned he is you can't be Mr. Olympia with glaring injuries like that.

Can they really do much to make the torn lat and triceps look better? I have never seen a guy tare a muscle as bad as Ronnie did and get it repaired to the point that it looks good as new.

Also you have to know that Jay will continue to improve. The guy has been improving his back mass and detail each year, his shoulders and lats keep getting wider, his hams keep getting tighter, and he has no injuries.

he may be desperate enough to use synthol in those areas. if he does, and it is clearly apparent, you will witness the judges make an example out of him (like they did to Nasser)

dude ronnie should not drop in weight.he looked like shit in this years grand prixs afterhe drooped a couple of pounds.what ronnie needs to do is work upon his size and come in better condition at a higher bodyweight.something went wrong this year and i think so he just miss timed his peak.remember when he came in too depleted for olympia 2002...

First of all Id like to know if anyone in Ronnie's camp have awknowledged an injury in his lat and or his triceps?Secondly, if Ronnie was injured as badly as some on this board say he is, I believe training, especially Ronnie style training, would be non-existent.If anyone here has ever tried to train with an injury, much less a torn muscle, its a nightmare.The pictures do look strange but I havent seen the videos yet.On the other hand, as great of a bber as Ronnie is, he's on a huge amount of drugs, which could give him the edge to train with such an injury.Then again I could be wrong.As far as his coments go, I think even if he came in at his "biggest ever", as Romano said in his Last Word column this month, it is plainly evident the Wieders and the IFBB have realized how wrong of an invistment it was to reward those that played the size game as well as how dumb it was publicity and fan base wise to build a franchise around a champion as unmarketable as Ronnie for eight straight years.Jay is good for now, but if they want to breath new life into the sport they need to move the title around like Romano said in his column, no matter how good Ronnie is, and I do think he's one of the greatest ever.
