Awesome I never saw that footage.

Yep it's brand new. It got 4 hits at the time I saw it.

Notice how there's no Mike Mentzer footage. What the fuck? Good video nonetheless.

It fueled him to train like a man possed the next year. Now that's the year he got screwed. 1981 was between Tom and Danny.

Both Padilla and Platz were great, and got screwed many times over. 80 was Mentzer's. At least Platz had notoriety, and publicity, made a good living off the sport being a peoples champ. Padilla got nothing, all his scenes in Pumping Iron got cut too.
I'm not sure if Mentzer was always one or two short of a six-pack(like most geniuses & philosophers), but this whole 80 fiasco must have put him over the edge(along with some "mind-enhancing supplements").

Anybody know what the song that Zane posedown to is called?

Zane was partial to Pink Floyd although I am not sure what he posed to that particular year. He posed to "Run Like Hell" one year.

Nah, but that's an awesome song. I wish I knew. Great posing routine. As posing practice I play that video and try to pose along with Zane and I have a lot of fun with it. And that song makes it a lot better. I get really into it.

Yeah, I was surprised to learn that Zane posed to Pink Floyd, since that's my favorite band.

Here's his routine from 1982, posing to Pink Floyd. Just pure classic and wonderfully artistic posing. I don't care how "small" he is, he's an inspiration.

I hope I can submit a posing routine like that to the Mr. Getbig 2007.

After reading that, I could possibly feel a sense of pride in being German, but that's just plain racist.

Im not even German...But i do believe that Arnold believes what i stated...If its the truth, what does it matter if its racist? He married a Kennedy to get into the Kennedy bloodline...

Everybody from that era knew that Arnold was a "figure de Proue" for bodybuilding and especially for the upcoming Weider "empire"... Check the first Arnold interview in part I when he says "It felt awkward being compared like livestocks and I hated that feeling" talking about callouts... this was Arnold's clash with what was by then "modern" "bodybuilding"....

Nothing against Arnold but that shows how the "king" was out of his element by 1980 and how far he had "moved on". He still won and bodybuilding wouldn't be same if he had not. And Mentzers would be alive 8)
