According to King Coleman he's not injured and Bob Chick must be on crack to say otherwise .

I am not one to take pot shots at Ronnies intelegence because I do not believe that you have to be articulate to be intelegent, but it is kinda funny that he has never really given his other side a chance.

Anyone with a clue knows the story. It's no secret he has a slap tear in the shoulder/lat/tricep area to go along with his torn outer quad.

Not a knock on him. I've got two torn muscles too. It sucks and I can understand why he'd deny it, at his level you don't need to draw attention to problems in your physique.

Blatent tears.... Been saying it for months. The Ronnie riders just cannot accept it : ( I posted some shots from flex online. real shots from the gp. Samson (king of the ronnie riders) cried and accused them of being photoshopped. The shots where untouched and Ronnie was just showing his age.

What ronnie brought in 1998 was the best bodybuilding physique ever seen. He ruined it. All that heavy training did was shorten his carrer. He def is sporting numerous tears. Same thing happened to Yates at the end. He needs to rethink his plan.

He can bounce back. But denying he has tears is stupid. This shot is from the same show last year. Look at his lower quad. people tell me I am crazy when I say it is torn now. It is 100 percent torn. Look at the tear drop and outer quad. Then go look at the pics from this years gp.

really? how long is the average bb career?

Not sure. But he seems to be in the same boat doz was. All those crazy poundages are going to catch up to him eventually. I think Ronnie would have had many more top years if he did not work with massive poundages he did not need to. Lets be honest. The guy is a freak.

Going heavy is awe inspiring. But working with the weight he does, a tear is always a instant away.

he's 43 . . . I don't think lifting heavy is to blame . . . just old age.

bro, I think he was basically saying that you’re a moron… ronnies been BB for 25 years… theres never been a human being that’s looked as freaky as him… and the guys 42… “shortened his career”… “many more top years”!!!!! how many top years can someone have in ur mind… he’s won the O 8 times already… your Ronnie hating is reaching a new level of ignorance

the lat looks torn to me also, but its not out of the realm of possibility that his rumored tendonitis in his shoulder is affecting his flexing ability… if you notice, his shoulder never seems fully flexed in any of the front shots… (all the MM variations, sanding relaxed to the front)… it might be a stretch but try to flex your lat in those poses without flexing your shoulder (which with serious tendonitis might make it tough to flex as much lean muscle as Ronnie has) its almost impossible

Ronnie has not been competing for 25 years..... You are not very smart "bro". The way Ronnie trains has had an effect on how long he will compete. If you run a car full throttle to show off for your friends the engine is not going to last as long as if you drive it to only the degree you need. Ronnie could be just as big without doing 800 lb squats and 500 plus lb benches pre contest.

Ronnie has numerous muscle tears. Dorein yates had numerous muscle tears. Guys like Haney had none. Ronnie could have dominated for more years than he will if he had trained smarter. That is a fact.

My point was Ronnie would not have as many tears if he did not train with massive weight. He would also have a longer career than he will when he hangs it up.

You do not think lifting with the weight he works with is to blame for his injuries? Yates was just old? Training with crazy weight beyond failure had nothing to do with the tears?

i didnt say competing... what does competing have to do with a muscle tear convo.... hes been BB (bodybuilding) for 25 years... actually more!... and lifting heavy weights is why ronnies is ronnie.... Haney isnt ronnie, not even close... your car analogy is a horrible one... just because you see ronnie lifting those kinda weights on the "unbelievable" doesnt mean he's doing that everyworkout "bro"!... come on... your trying to critique ronnie colemans training philosophy … this is like a ron harris column

...this actually is not a fact, just speculation...but I get your point.  But do you think that he got his 98 body by NOT training the way he does, the heavy way he always has???...he just did what any winning bodybuilder would do...stick with what works.  For Ronnie, heavy deads and benches are what made him...AND his 98 win!  For him NOT to do those moves today would have seemed VERY wrong for him.  And who knows?...maybe without that insane poundage, he could NOT have achieved that muscularity.  You can't say he could have looked just as good without heavy weights because you, nor Ronnie, really know "how much weight it takes" to acheive that weight.

My point was Ronnie would not have as many tears if he did not train with massive weight. He would also have a longer career than he will when he hangs it up.

He would not have had tears, but he also may not have become Mr O.  My guess is Dorian too.  Haney competed in a different age, and indeed he could get the results he needed to WIN without stupid heavy weight.  But when the judging criteria changed to give mass monsters the edge, then of course, to keep up with Dorian he would have had to follow that style of training.  Luckily he didn't have to, and retired.

What I'm trying to say is that to win today you can't simply do what worked in the past.  Unfortunately, today you have to go to EXTREMES in ALL areas to be Mr O....weights, food, drugs, all of it.  And THAT IS a fact which nobody can deny.

I think he may have some nerve damage to go along with the tears...the more recent picks of his back show atrophy on many muscle groups  on his left side: latismus, trapezius, deltoids and triceps...

Ronnie Coleman is one of the greatest bodybuilders in the history of the sport. He knows what he needs to do. He has made enough money to see whatever specialists necessary in order to fix these problems.

I'm not sure , Yates retired because he said the injury impaired him to train at his optimum , if Ronnie has these types of injuries he may not be able to opperate at his fullest and his phsyique may suffer for it.

im kinda starting to agree... ive been thinkin about this tricep thing all day... i mean, obviously theres something going on with his tricep... probably a tear... but thats clear.... the real question is, why doesnt he just flex with his right???... ronnie aludes the question... making it seem as if he never realized or that nobody ever pointed it out to him... but i think the answer might be severe tendonitis, or worse, nerve damage ... this could also be linked somehow to the problem he had this year flexing his right lat and his right delt... especially noticable from the front shots

we disagree on the ronnie v dorian stuff ND, but we agree that both guys are incredible... if ronnie has these types of injuries he wont be able to train anything like he's used to, if he cant i ope we see him step down mid year like dorian did...

its tough to go oout on a limb with neg. ronnie stuff... the guys sooo tuff he might just come back next year looking better then ever b4...
