Title: Muscle Twitching
Post by: FlexGuns on November 07, 2006, 03:19:20 PM
I blasted my arms real hard in a bicep workout the other day and I noticed about an hour later that my biceps were twitching. What does this indicate?

this indicates that you blasted your arms the other day and the muscle tissue is damaged.

Are you getting enough supplements, protein, glutamine, multi vitamin, minerals.
Take extra minerals.  The extra calcium well help with the twitches works for me.

Means yoiu have over trained.  Also, anytime you get the shakes in your hands during a workout, then you have overtrained and gone past the point of benefit.

After some triceps work outs, the muscles begin convulsing and twitching.  It looks cool but it's actually painful.  I have to lock my arms rigidly straight until the feeling subsides.

Sometimes some potassium will help. Try eating a couple bananas with your post workout shake and see if it calms down.

He's right, my legs use to shake like I was freezing to death.

Thanks for the advice.  Because I'm not a fruit advocate, will potassium tablets give me the same effect?

Sure thing.  I'll pick up some potassium tablets on my way home from work tonight.

Good advice.  However, I'm already drinking between 1.5gal and 2gal per day.
