Title: i'm back after a short reprieve! i need some help bros!
Post by: G.R.H. on November 11, 2006, 11:47:58 AM
hey bros! i was away for a couple of weeks but i'm back now(the computer was down). no modem! anyway, i was at a doctor recently, and i need some help. i was told my cholesterol was high, and that i am anemic. (also was told to go for a stress test, but i think that they were overreacting with that! if my heart was f'ed up, i wouldn't be lifting like i am, and still be strong!) i was told i need to see a hematologist too. do any of you know if any supplements may cause your cholesterol to go up, and may cuse anemia? any help would be much appreciated! i have used pro-hormones in the past. i am currently using creatine, and a sup called d-blade. (it's a steroid alternative sup) (i'm a little concerned!)   ???

well, what i mean is, can certain sups like prohormones or any other sup raise one's bad cholesterol, or do something to f' up the liver enzymes? i know that i have had this problem in the past with raised liver enzymes, so i have stopped all prohormone use.  however, i am now using some supplement i saw on line called d-blade. (it borders on dianobol). but, it looks like a wafer. i thought i'd try it, and so far, it's been giving me ok results with strength levels and a little more size.  but, is this what could be causing my other problems?

sounds like you have to get your diet in order.

yup i'd say worry about your solid diet before you worry about your supplements causing the high colesterol.

Well, that was going to be my first question; AAS usage, because they can have an impact on cholesterol.  I believe PH's can too.  Fish oil  along with dietary changes usually have a positive impact on  cholesterol.

The anemia is bothersome.  Why are you anemic?  Are you not producing enough red blood cell or is something detroying your red blood cells?  Is something causing you to bleed (internally) like an ulcer or something?  Of course, it could be a iron, B12, folic acid deficiency, but I would have it investigated further....

Something interesting I learned was that low Test can affect your Blood Preasure and Cholestrol levels.

Here I go hawking the benefits of dessicated liver tabs again . . .  however, certain studies/sources claim that they are helpful with respect to anemia (which makes some sense due to their iron content).  For example, "Prescription for Nutritional Healing, by James F. Balch, M.D. and Phyllis A. Balch, C.N.C." as cited in http://www.healingfoodreference.com/dessicated_liver.html

That being said, there is no substitute for medical advice.
