oh. wow...this picture really illustrates how small those guys were back in the day. those shoulders and arms are freakily attainable.  coul you imagine his joints and waist on one of todays pros????   that would be insane!!

look at how small his muscles actually are. its because his joints are sooo tiny that he creates the illlusion to carry just as much mass as some of todays guys. but standing next to even a top npc competitor from today, he would look like a toddler.   by himself...he would win. its his joints. put them on ronnie coleman..and he would look like he weighed 500 lbs.
