A guy in a bar leans over to the guy next to him and says,
"Wannahear a Michigan joke?"
The guy replies, "Well, before you tell that joke, you should know
something I am 6' tall, 200 lbs. and I am a Michigan Graduate. The guy
sitting next to me is 6'2", 225 lbs. and he is a Michigan Graduate. The
guy right next to him is 6'5", 250 lbs. and he is also a Michigan
Graduate. Now, you still wanna tell me that joke?"
The first guy says, "No, not if I'm going to have to
explain it three times"

Four college Alumni were climbing a mountain one day: An OSU grad, a
Michigan grad, a Penn State grad, and a Notre Dame grad. Each proclaimed
to be the most loyal fan of their alma mater. As they climbed higher,
they argued as to which of them was the most loyal of all. They
continued to argue all the way to the top when the Notre Dame grad hurled
himself off the mountainside shouting, "This is for the fighting Irish!"
Not wanting to be out done, the Penn State grad threw himself off the
mountain proclaiming, "This is for the Nittany Lions!" Seeing this, the
OSU grad walked over and shouted, "This is for the Buckeyes!" and pushed
the Michigan grad off the mountain.

Two Michigan football players were hootin' and hollerin' while

Jim and Lloyd both say they did it.
"You will each get one wish," said the genie.
Lloyd offers to go first. "I want an impenetrable wall built around
the entire state of Michigan so that none of those stupid Ohioans can
ever get in. I want it as far down into the ground as it is high, and I
want it to be completely sealed in so that we can finally have our peace!
The genie grants the wish to Lloyd and his is instantly whisked away

I think the Buckeyes are a better team, but isn't the game @ Michigan?

If so, I'll take Michigan by six.

Ohio has a lead most of the game but has a late turnover or Michigan finds a way to score the go ahead TD.

I just have a feeling the underdog teams wins this.

If it's @ Ohio, then they need to guard against the letdown.

I'll take Ohio state by 14 points -or- Michigan by 4 in the upset.

It's a matter of which team shows up and which doesn't.

Do you really think either team won't show up? It's the biggest game outside of the national championship in a decade. The best rivalry in sports, 1 vs 2, and a trip to the title game on the line. Anyway, I'm going with Ohio State, but it can go either way.

The best rivalry in sports is Red Sox Yankess. But this is the best rivalry in college sports. This game could go either way like you said.

I'm a Yankees fan and a Notre Dame fan and I still think is the best rivalry in sports. This game is played once a year with a lot on the line usually. Half the time the Red Sox aren't doing shit so who cares. Just another team the Yanks whoop up on until recently. Now, they hang around until July when they decided to stop trying and go back to being the mediocre team they are.

Oh brother you are an idiot. Before the entire starting lineup was out they led the Yankees all year. The yankees have not done shit in years. They are a choke squad. Look at 04 lol. That huge advantage you have on all of basbeall with that gigantic payroll aint workin  :-\ How bought them tigers lol. Yankees choke again. At least the sox could chalk it up to injuries. It's possible that one team doesn't show up.

Because it's at Ohio, I tend to think they'll win but it will be close either way no matter who wins....

....unless one team doesn't show up and that is where the two scenarios come in to play.

I was Biophysics, not biochem.  I also work at OSU now.  We all already know all the rankings crap because it gets thrown around by everyone here that is from Michigan.

About the game, I think if Mich's front 7 shut down Pittman and make OSU one dimensional on offense, they have a pretty good shot at taking it.  Carr has lost 4 of the last 5, so Mich's emotions will be running high.  Smith has played well against Mich in the past, though, and will be very confident in the pocket.  It's gonna be a great game one way or another.

I expect Michigan to shut down Pittman without much of a problem but I also expect OSU to do the same to Hart and Co. Going to come down to who gets the lucky break, in my opinion.

That's gonna be a huge game.  If USC wins and then loses to Notre Dame, ND could weasel their way into the BCS National Championship game.  Arkansas is in a pretty good spot also.  If they beat Florida in the SEC championship, they could get the bid also.  I'm not sure who else can hang with OSU or Mich right now though.

Yeah, I'm a Notre Dame fan but I really don't see them beating either team. I thought Cal stood a chance until last week but I've been thinking that Arkansas might stand the best shot. They've been playing almost flawless football since the first game. McFadden is a beast.

These kids are in school to make money for the University and to win.  There are some that are actually there for an education (Troy Smith has already graduated), but for the most part, they are there to play football or basketball.  Ohio State has a 7'0" center named Greg Oden.  He is supposed to be AMAZING (he's out until January).  Do you think he would be at school if the NBA didn't have an age limit?  We have him for a few months, then he turns pro.

DIV

Not showing up and making a mental mistake are two different things. Not showing up generally means you don't even want to be there playing the game. Mental mistakes happen on all levels, even the NFL, so you're making a pretty dumb point. To say that a team won't show up means that you're saying one of them doesn't want to be there playing or isn't ready to. This is the biggest game of their lives.

Arkansas is no joke!!!  I've seen them play twicw this year and they are explosive on offense.  If they had not lost to USC they would probably be #2 in the country

Carmen Ohio

Oh come let's sing Ohio's praise
And songs to Alma Mater raise
While our hearts rebounding thrill
With joy which death alone can still
Summer's heat or winter's cold
The seasons pass the years will roll
Time and change will surely (truly) show
How firm thy friendship ... OHIO!

These jolly days of priceless worth
By far the gladdest days on earth
Soon will pass and we not know
How dearly we love Ohio
We should strive to keep thy name
Of fair repute and spotless fame
So in college halls well grow
And love thee better ... OHIO!

Though age may dim our mem'ry's store
We'll think of happy days of yore
True to friend and frank to foe
As sturdy sons of Ohio
If on seas of care we roll
Neath blackened sky or barren shoal
Thoughts of thee bid darkness go
Dear Alma Mater...OHIO!

Rutgers won't beat West Virginia. They only reason they beat Louisville is because they completely shut down the passing game blitzing in the second half and WVU usually throws the ball 15 or less times a game. Slaton and Smith will run wild on Rutgers. Not to mention it's in West Virginia with the Big East crown most likely on the line.

You're not wrong, it's just that our buckeye friend only looked at undergrad programs (granted college football is for undergrads). when it comes to grad programs, there is no comparison, as Michigan has many top 10 programs *business school, law school, medical school for starters . . .

Yeah, I was going to mention that but I thought I could be off by 3-4 ranking spots and didn't want a lashing again!

That is not an original Michigan joke; Steve Spurrier said this several years ago while at Florida when a room at the University of Tennessee library caught fire.

makes no sense to apply it to michigan as Michigan has one of the ten biggest libraries in the nation . . . in fact, google wants to digitize their collection.
