The end of another era. Three years ago - Powerhouse Gym of Venice left. Now, World Gym of Venice is leaving the mecca.
Do they move fast in Venice - already getting rid of the pictures on the wall, getting rid of the World Gym logo and gorilla, and putting up Planet Fitness logos. Hell - all you members that like to grunt - get your grunting out now - because for you - no tank tops - no weights over 80 pounds - no grunting. No breathing either.
And good old Jerome Ferguson - he is going wild - convinced that he should of won at the NPC Nationals. We overheard him screaming at people at the old Words - I am the man! The main! More famous than every bodybuilder out there!
All because someone told him he shouldn't compete as a Superheavyweight but at a lesser weight.

Are they really getting rid of the heavier dumbells? They have the kind with the really think handles. I haven't seen those anywhere else. Are the gonna replace all that awesome old school equipment with a bunch of shiny little fruity pieces? That place was the shit. they didn't even play music in there. It was as really fucken old school I loved training there. I was there 99-2001. Joe Gold used to be there sitting in the front office all the time. No payment plans either it was 300 a year straight up.AL BUNDY USED TO TRAIN THERE FOR GOD'S SAKE!!! SERIOUSLY. I SAW HIM THERE ALL THE TIME.

I go to a Gold's north hollywood now and it's even out of hand there. I couldn't even imagine how bad it is at these 24hr bally total fitness planet health centers or whatever they call those places are. Just drive by one of those fitness places and look at the queers walking in and out of there text messaging their boyfriends so he warm up the wax they're gonna use on their taints later. Guess they do all their grunting outside of the fitness planet.

I can't stand that type... They take up space and equipment and don't even work out. They just go to the gym to check out the eye candy.

That's why so many hire a "Personal Trainer". It's a status thing. It sounds cool to them. My trainer this, my hair stylist that....my dog's therapist this.....et cetera...

I'm just glad I got to train there a few times in my travels to the states over the years...
Was a sweet gym... they never made me pay for a workout.
Had no music but that was fine by me... was quiet like a church as they say.
Equipment was awesome... a mix of old joe golds pulleys - had the best lat pulldown in the world there IMO - some older cybex/FLEX/bodymasters/nautilus.
The dumbbells were hand made by joe gold and were sublime to use - increased by 2.5lbs which was great for arm and shoulder work.
Had a cool outdoor area with a canopy so you didn't get sunburnt - the hammer machines were out there.
No TV's either... no cardio theatre - the cardio faced out the windows to washington Blvd.
sad very sad... :'(

with all these pussy gay gyms opening its best too start a nice garage gym- is craig titus's home gym still for sale??? garage is better you can grunt and you dont have to shoot your gear in the dirty stalls you can just sit there on the bench press and shoot a nice 1ml hit of test enanthate-lol whiel training.
