...Or is it "Die Motherf-cker Die" by Dope?
-
what do you mean by hardest? The sound or the lyrics?
-
um... neither. by a long shot. check out "davidian" by machine head, or anything slayer made in the 1980s.

If you had one song to listen to before going to war. I would say both "Bodies" and "Die Motherfu-ker Die" both do a tremendous job of summoning up some deep primal rage with a combination of excellent songwriting and lyrics.

Cowboys from hell - pantera
or
Revolution is my name - pantera
very powerful and good for training too.
or ONE- metallica (heck the song IS about war...so yeah) good song to use before going to war.

Bodies is a song for 10 year old girls.
I like to listen to:
Disturbed - Meaning of Life
Rob Zombie - Dragula
etc... when in the gym
-

I don't know Nordic - "Bodies" is a damn good song. It can't fail to get me fired up for the gym. For me also, anything by Disturbed, Rammstein, or Rage Against the Machine gets me going. Metallica has it's moments too. :)

Cannibal Corpse, Mercyful Fate and other death metal bands are harder, but I do like "Bodies" by Drowning Pool.....good for trainin.
-
the late drowning pool vocalist had some of the strongest vocals ive heard since phil anselmo.
anselmo still had the most hardcore, raw power behind his voice. even on some of the live Pantera stuff, at times he sounded more like a lion than a man. crazy how they can do that night in and night out....

For whom the bell tolls by Metallica not only has very hard sound, but is also cordinated and nice to listen to. Metallica is the hardest band I listen to.
-
The "Death Metal" bands very rarely display any songwriting capability. Lead singers who employ the "gutteral" screaming are a dime a dozen, doesnt make them heavy or hard. May I recommend the following groups for getting pyschotic in the gym.
Sevendust
Life of Agony
Drowing Pool
Dope
Disturbed
Metallica
Rage Against The Machine
Ozzy
As a "one off" song, "Balls to the Wall" is a great song to walk into the gym listening to. Those Accept fellows were characters.

I was taking ze piss saying it was for 10 year old girls, but yeah it is a decent song. Thing is, I normally stick these heavy tracks on my mp3 player when working out or running, so I listen to em way too much, so I get used to the "hardness" in a way. :'(
