Nostalgia in my opinion.  DLR acts like such a retard now that I don't think it will last long anyway.

van halen will never work again as a band.  they might tour again but it will be a mess  Ed is really, really messed up these days.  He used to be able to drink and play and not miss a beat now he can't.  Sammy hagar said in a recent invterview that if van halen was "user friendly" he'd be the first guy to want to get back together but eddie is a "monster' to work with now.  According to Sam and Mike, nobody wants anything to do with him anymore.

So basically Eddie is a washed up, bitter has-been?

ed is one of the most bitter people I've ever seen right now.  He's not even close to being what he used to be...or at least the guy I read hundreds of interviews with.  There's a venom in his voice that's...well, it's not healthy.

Odds are against it but there are exceptions like Arrowsmith. Doesn't really matter look at the Stones. To do it they'd probably want to combine someone current the way Arrowsmith did.

Ed talks like Mike did something to deserve this type of treatement but he'll never say what it is....

i didnt realize ther were fighting. i thought the 3 of them still got along but roth and hagar were on the out's.

can you imagine how crazy it would be if they got back together and toured one more time like motley crue did? i think it would be an even better cash cow

from what i understand Ed pretty much hates everybody these days.  hagar, Mike, DLR and I've even heard that Alex doesn't like being around him anymore....he's a very angry man right now.....

Well, Ed had cancer.  He had to have a part of his tongue cut out.  He still smokes and he drinks like a fish, I think the drinking and smoking is what caused Val to leave him, she said something like she couldn't watch him destroy himself anymore.  I think this is what she said, I didn't pay a ton of attention to it when it happened.

ed's a mess these days.

Aerosmith.

there was a rumor about that a few years back.  I doubt they'd-aerosmith-would do it if Ed's drinking, they have a pretty solid rule that you gotta be clean to be around them.  I've heard they didn't even allow booze to be served at some shows a couple of years back.  Ed drinks smokin loone-whatever that is and gets pretty ripped before shows these days.

Im sure his 3 year affair with another woman didn't help. Wolfie is suppose to be the new bass player. Hahaha what a joke this guy (ed) turned into.

Eddie Van Halen is the Howard Hughes of rock.  He's angry, reclusive, ill.  Nice guy eh >:(
