hey guys
I was wondering, is doing arms on their only day a waste of time? or is it better to team it back up with a larger bodypart i.e. chest/bis and shoulders/tris??
thanks!!!!!!!!!

team them with larger

If you have trouble growing them do bis and tris together on monday (DAY 1)

I would agree. I train them with larger muscle groups on mon (chest tris) and tue (back bis) and then hit them together on fri........been working well.

This thread shows you how much some things work for others but not for you. my arms never responded from doing that, especially tris with chest. It makes sense to me to have all the blood in that area at one time. it also makes sense because while you train tri's the bis get stretched. and vice versa.

i recently switched from chest/tris to shoulders/tris and find it better as my tris aren't so gassed when I get to them. + i still do dips on chest day.
still doing back/bis

My workout split to give you an idea:
Monday - Quads, Hams, Calves
Tuesday - Chest, Biceps, Abs
Wednesday - Off
Thursday - Shoulders, Traps, Triceps
Friday - Back, Abs
-
absolutely NOTHING wrong with doing them on a different day.
Think about it, you work chest which using the tricep also , so when you get to tricep, you can't work them as heavy since you have already hammered them with chest.
same thing with biceps, already hammered back which uses biceps.
I do this, 2 week rotation. first week chest & tri's together, back & bi's together.
next week, chest alone, back alone, off day, then arms together and that day on arms i train them heavy.

so should i take about my arms day and just do four training days a week??
funny enough today i had to visit my doctos. and they couldn't take my blood pressure b/c the cuff was too smaller...

If you have plenty of time,
train them on a different day,
just make sure there's room to let your arms recover.
For instance,
if you train chest today, you also hit your triceps,
if you train back, you als hit your biceps.
Make sure there is at least a 48h recovery period.
You could try
chest + front shoulders
back + back shoulders
day off
arms
legs

just curious mes. why do you have a seperate day for arms? by your own admission you have good arms that respond well. why not put a weaker bodypart on a seperate day?
-
the only really weak bodypart i have is calves.... which is totally genetic
...
i train my body equally every body part gets hit once...
...
i dont belive in training tris after chest or bis after back....
becaise i want to hit arms with the same intensity i hit back and chest...
i used to do this and the results were fine... but as you get more advanced a trainer.. well for me... i find i build a better physique hit body parts specifically on a day...
but switching to an arm day by itself gave even better results..
my split is
chest monday
back tuesday
shoulders wednesay
legs thursday
arms friday

Personally I perfer to train them on thier own day. Once and a while Ill change it up and train them with a larger group, but for most of the time I train bis and tris on the same day and Ive gotten better results. However, that is just my opinion and everything differs from person to person. Try both a while. Peace.
