To those who eat a fast acting carb source posttraining, what is your typical choice? I always have 50g of whey and pw supplements, but my carb source changes as I get bored....what do you do? How many carbs do you shoot for?
I either go:
1.5 cups white rice
or
1 cup white rice w/ 4oz yam
or
2-4 cups cold cereal
total of about 50-60 carbs

3 packets of Country Bacon flavor GRITS mixed with water/Heavy Whipping Cream with a little bit of fat free butter...microwave for 1 minutes.
Handful of 99% fat free lean ground turkey by 'Jenne-O' cooked up in a pan. Throw it all together and enjoy!

Hey Lugar, did you ever try the fake crab or the grits?

Applesauce sometimes. Banana's, non-light yogurt (sugary.) Once in a great while a pop-tart if I'm in a hurry. Any of these I consider a dessert. Also, my cooked/chopped up spuds with ketchup. Protein usually comes from a shake, or steak when I grill.

2 12 ounce outback specials(very rare)with mashed patatoes,with bloomin onion sauce to dip the steak in on the side ;)

oats, cinnemon, and skim milk powder, fruit, yogurt...ect...

Now I was talking immidiately after training.....not the first meal post post......you don't feel oats bloat you up? Creamry rice always worked better for me......
