Title: what wall colors should I use for my home gym
Post by: darksol on November 22, 2006, 02:26:35 PM
I was thinking of the brightest White I could find. or a light grey, any other colors that would be good for a home gym?  Rainbows and Pinks are out of the question.  Also keep in mind that the room is small. 12' by 14'.

You probably want to put some "energy" into the room with some color.  Maybe just one wall or some funky design...and definately a large mirror.

If it is is small, I'd go for a pure white.

It will open the room up, make it seem lighter and bigger.

if i was doing it i would just paint it white...then get a bunch of picture frames and hang up some hardcore pics... and no workout area is complete without atleast one arnold poster.

Agreed.  I decided to go with a light silver color and it turned out pretty nice, Tomorrow I am going to install the mirrors. I will have to look for an old school arnold Poster. I wanted to ask have a magazine rack where I could hang some Muscle Mags, but my wife said she didn't want guests to see that kind of stuff when they come into our home gym.  I told here that if I can't have my muscle mags, then she can't have HGTV, WE, BRAVO, LIFETIME, or any other channel that supports content that lowers TEST levels.

Go with white - over time it will get dirty and make the place look more hardcore. Or grey - that's a good colour too.

I would definatley stick to light colors. True I would not use a lot of white but maybe you cold try a speckled look. Mirrors help too!
