Title: Waxy Maize
Post by: columbusdude82 on November 22, 2006, 04:20:28 PM
Anyone here tried waxy maize? Any experiences you care to share?

I have been using True Protein's waxy maize for over a week now post workout (got it as part of a promotional offer). First thing you will notice is you get white powder all over yourself. You look like you've been snorting the stuff.

Second thing is the aftertaste. Definitely not the most pleasant. As soon as I am done drinking it I eat a banana...

You're drinking it straight right? Don't mix protein with it.

Bro, you wanna mix it with Whey Iso, some BCAA powder, Glutamine, and possible Creatine. It doesnt really taste that bad after you put in some Whey.

I just mix protein powder, creatine, and glutamine in a separate shake. Should I combine the two?!

yeah combine the whey, waxy, creatine, glutamine into 1 pwo shake?

what was your reason for taking them all seperately?

For post workout recovery I like whey isolate, dextrose, creatine and glutamine. Thats why I like and use Proglycosyn from SNAC System. It is a fool proof product taking out any guess work to those who do not have the knowledge nor want to go through the headache of being a mad powder scientist mixing raw powders together in their kitchen.

They just started a new message board on their site www.snac.com

At $51.95 for 20 servings, that could be expensive, depending what they mean by serving. And complete honesty requires the disclosure that they list you as a sponsored athlete on their site.

That said, welcome to Getbig, and please post often!

Mixing raw powders in the kitchen like a "mad power scientist" can give you some latitude in making your shakes, even if it is a headache. Have you tried waxy maize? If so, what was your opinion of it?

ive never tried proglycosyn but i'm sure its a good product...it gets alot of attention especially because ronnie coleman uses it...my only problem with it is the price.

vitargo is a good product also and has waxy maize in it.

if money is an issue its much more cost effective to just buy the ingredients seperately and mix them yourself.
