150+ million of the people in the US don't approve of our current President either.
(Not defending Hugo, but seeing as it's the norm to attack him daily since he called 9/11 an inside job, thought I should point out that not every leader is loved by every person living there)
-
"Thugo Chavez" ::) The only thing that merits special attention is this:

I could give a rats ass about what goes on in Venezuela... but...
i do wonder why Chavez is very insistent on the need for a full investigation into the Sept 11 attacks - and our own leader is not.
Can anyone answer this?
-
Venezuela is in the mist of an election. He closed down the streets so that his main rival couldn't have a rally.
The photos show the people going to the rally by walking
Yes you are defending Hugo because he backs up your claims on 9-11.
There have been many people in the US critical about Hugo long before 9-11.
The American government want Venezuela to pay back American companies for the Investments they made in the country.
Most of the criticism has to do with nationalizing American investment in Venezuela.
You might want to do some research about him before you defend him.

It seems some of the latest polls are showing that the election will be close.

i give a rats ass anytime the people are able to rise up and say no more... I didn't want to give a rats ass, but Bush marching around the world telling people how it'll be done means Americans have to have a bigger interest in what's going down around the world. What's gone down in Venezuala is absolute bliss.

bullshit.... fucking bullshit and you know it... MOST polls have Chavez way ahead, a few polls have the other guy close... So the CIA can properply rig it and attempt another coup.
-
Actually the CIA would rather have Chavez then Rosales.
Rosales will cut off all of the money being payed back to American companies during their nationalization movement.
Rosales
Atrévete con Manual Rosales is the Rosales campaign slogan.[17]
ˇNi el imperio, ni el barbudo! (Neither the [U.S.] empire, nor the [Cuban] bearded one!) is a slogan used by Rosales in launching his campaign, intended to "hit Chávez where the Venezuelan comandante is most vulnerable: his penchant for giving away billions of dollars to foreign countries, while nearly half of the Venezuelan people live in poverty" referring to subsidized oil deals to both Cuba and the United States. "We are not going to be the empire's defenders," Rosales said. "The empire must respect our sovereignty, and we must respect the empire," and "we cannot be looking at societies like Cuba as a model to be copied. We want modernity, transformation, development."[18]

There were over 300,000 people that marched to Rosales rally.
Also the streets were closed without warning.
All access to Caracas was closed down not just the down town core.
At the Chavez rally the people were bused in.
-
This doesn't even make sense you assclown.
what doesn't make sense?
Hugo says an independent investigation is required for the people from many nations around the world who were killed on 9/11. More than just Americans died. it's his belief that it was an inside job - and if this is the case, that would mean the guilty investigated themselves. This leaves the deaths of Americans, and non-Americans, improperly investigated. He is calling for a worldwide investigation.
You don't have to agree, or disagree. But what about it doesn't make sense to you?
-

Hey nordic, don't you think that avatar is a little bit nonrepresentational of your appearance... Tell everybody what you weigh Superman ;D

lies lies lies... boo hoo... rich fuckers had to walk LIKE EVERYBODY ELSE DID RIGHT ::)
-
Where am I wrong.
Rosales and may Venezuelans are sick of their money going to Cuba and America.
He wants to stop the payouts.
Chavez wants to spend more money trying to gain influence with other countries.
Seems to me that neither and much in America's interest.
-
why don't you fuckers stop thinking about elite scumbags who will live out the rest of their lives in complete luxery and think about the people for a second: Chavez is a hero ;)

Did you miss the pictures were it was 300,000 people.
Chavez bused his supporters.
You are also forgetting the political prisoners that can't attend since Chavez has them locked up.
-
Rosales is mad that he has spent 10 billion dollars on projects outside of Venezuela instead of helping the poor.

It's an election... ::) The idea is to paint himself as being his own man and not a washington yes man... again, don't be so fucking naive... the only way he could win is to steal some support from Chavez. The only way... DUH...
-

AHHAHHAHAHHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHH DUH DUH DUH DUH DUH DUH.... YOU'RE A TOTAL IDIOT IF YOU DON'T SEE WHY HE WOULD SAY THAT... fact... he is actually way behind in the polls. That is a fact outside of bias polling. The only way he has a chance is to take support way from chavez. Helping the poor..... Oh yea, right back into the poorhouse lolololol
-
guess what... Alllllll these people walked too ;) What an excellent statement Joker makes about the wealthy Spanish elite of Venezuela... too good to walk like the rest of the people...

So Chavez hasn't been unlawfully confining protesters or assassinating political dissidents.

Seems to me to real standard for good in this world. ::)
Those people that support Rosales walked and it is not a class issue.
It would seem to me that since Chavez is PRESIDENT his the most elite figure in the country.
But then again I don't have to pretend that his friends aren't placed in positions of power.
Chavez role model for the World. ::)
-
AP Poll: About 59 percent of likely voters said they would vote for Chavez for a third term, while 27 percent said they would support opposition candidate Manuel Rosales.
Zogby International and the University of Miami School of communication, Chavez has the support of 60 percent of voters going into the December 3 election, compared to 31 percent for Manuel Rosales
61 percent of all respondents saying Venezuela is moving in the right direction and 31 percent saying it's on the wrong track.

You want to talk about assasinations..... oh no you just didn't go there.... During the coup, they went into the streets and attempted to quash any opposition by just gunning the mother fuckers down. Wanna talk about assasinations, ok, let's talk about cia santioned killings in south america and in Venezuala. Let's talk about the school of the Americas designed to go in and slaughter hole villiages for even thinking about a union. let's talk about that, i'm ready with stats, are you?

Post them,
Make them relevant to the discussion of Venezuela though.
I am no fan of the CIA.
By the way which coup are you talking about the one that Chavez led, or the one in 2002.
Also are you going to combine the totals from both sides and say that Chavez didn't fire on unarmed protesters.
I dare you to use media sources like newspapers and MSM to form your opinion.
-
cia went in and killed whole villages?
give proof of one example.

Watch the documentary on the revolution... and really there is a strong tie in with assassinations all through central and south America since their purposes have all nearly been one in the same. But just watch the doc. Also some of the guys in custody are responsible for the coup... Just put this into perspective... what if Dems had attempted a coup against the president here and it was foiled... What legitimacy would you give the complaints that the president was quashing opposition by detaining prominent members of the opposition... their coup failed, that's the price, they bought it, they own it.
-

put words in my mouth. I said there have been cia santioned hits in south america... That's an easy one to prove. ::) re-read my statement and don't misquote me... Then watch school of Assassins.
