About three or four years usually. I've got four or five pairs just to be safe.

shoes that I run in last maybe 3 months...for running, but theyre still in decent enough condition for chillin. I have a pair of nike shox that I got when they first came out that still look like new. Normally i just stop wearing shoes but dont throw em out...I gave away about 12 pairs when i moved states last year.
I collect shoes, so I have quite a few pairs

I love Nike Shox - got two pairs - one of which I only bought for £25. They last ages if you treat em right.

When I was in 8th (?) grade, I got a pair of Nike Meadow Supremes and wore them for more than 10 years. The most comfortable shoes I have ever owned! They finally got too ratty to wear in public but I still wore them around the house doing yard work, washing my car, etc. I kept them for another 10 years, in a box of old stuff I didn’t want to throw away. Those shoes moved across country with me several times. I finally threw them away about 5 years ago. :'(
I just found them on the internet! Gonna try to order a pair! :D
I bought some running shoes at the Marathon Store in Cambridge, MA about 5 years ago. I was told they were good for 2-3 marathons. I never ran a marathon in them, but I still wear them to the gym.

I get a hell of a deal on Otomix. 1/2 off catalogue price. I get a pair about every 5-6 months or when somebody orders @ 20% off, I often get them for free, when a couple of people do it. Wholesale is where it's at. Say what you may, but the best workout shoe you can get.
-
About half a year.
-
Not sure.... I'm a shoe horse.... I get a new pair every 3-6 months so a rarely wear out the older ones.... I know, I'm gay but I love my shoes.....
-
otomix, do they wear out fast? I had a pair of wrestling sneakers, comfy as heck but wore out quick
The wrestling ones are thin soled. Better feel for the mat and dead lifting, but not to wear all the time. They have many others that are more like gym to street style. They make tons of kinds from boxing, wrestling, MMA not to mention training. Great ankle support for squatting, Plus the 1/2 off doesn't hurt as much and their what I work in. My accountant has even found a way to write them off

I smell corn chips!!! lol

;D I heard some running/shoe "expert" say that running shoes have a pretty short shelf life.
